While these terms may describe different aspects of a human’s nature, in the present context the apostle’s appeal to God is simply that his sanctification may extend to the entirety of their being . We live a joyful life, full of prayers and thankfulness which is made possible by allowing the Holy Spirit to work in us (and not quenching her) thus fulfilling God’s will for us in Christ Jesus which is to sanctify us at the coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
