1. Las vegas and ecologic don’t make
laugh
Always bigger, always higher, always more excessive… To Las Vegas, the race of
the “always more “ is more than never. The project City Center is a perfect example.
Las Vegas want build a mini-city from 31 hectare, but the worst is that she want
use a plain of 45000 m2 for commercial centres and a centre of enjoyement.
As this mini-ville is situated in the middle of the desert, in the State of the Nevada, a
system of distribution of water to regulated debit, will be set up to save more than 15
million liters of water a day. Next it will be a matter to obtain the natural light of the
sun or more to use the surplus of hotness off electric central for heating water.
But there are agents which are easier and usefull instead of wanting build a
ECOLOGIC MINI-CTY. We can for example reduce the use of water for each
person, after that we can break some fountain down, because also even if the water is
always reused, some people would have a lot more need than the FOUNTAINS.
In fact their fountains, for example the fountains of Bellagio are made in a lake from
3,6 ha of humain derivation. The lake is not filled with gray water of the hotel but of
fresh water. At the beginnig there was a golf land whichn also used fresh water to
irrigate. Now even if the founataines use less water than the golf land, they integrate a
pipe network with more than 12000 pipes. These allow presenting coordinated
fountains with more than 45000 lights. If we think about the consumption for the
spectacle, which is done all the 30 minutes and towards evenings all the 15 minutes
of 8 hours to midnight.
Then we one can not consider that TIRED VEGAS is economical, for of more to
construct a fountain it is necessary 40 millions of dollars.
