Anchored by the 1812 John Wickham House, the museum offers self-guided exhibition galleries, the Edward V. Valid for one day only and includes the Valentine
exhibition galleries, the 1812 John Wickham House,
the Edward V. Valentine Sculpture Studio and the
Valentine Garden.

The 1812 John Wickham House
Guided tours of the home of prominent lawyer John
Wickham are offered on a timely basis throughout the
day. Tours leave from the orientation gallery. Please
inquire at the front desk for more information or to sign
up for a tour.
Creating History: The Valentine Family and the Creation of
a Museum exhibition is located on the second floor of
the Wickham House and only accessible via a
guided tour.
Valentine Store
With a Richmond focus, the Valentine Store is the
perfect place to find unique gifts, books, photographs
and more.
Sally Bell’s Kitchen
Located in the Valentine Garden,
legendary Richmond eatery Sally Bell’s
serves sandwiches, salads, soup and its
scrumptious iced cupcakes on weekdays
from 11 a.m. - 2p.m.

Donate an Object
The Valentine accepts objects and documents related to the
history of the Richmond region. Once accepted, donations
become part of the permanent collection and may be used in
exhibitions, programs and research. Please inquire at the front
desk for more information.
Facility Rental
The newly renovated Valentine multi-purpose room, terrace,
garden and conference room are available for weddings, special
events and meetings.

Research
The Valentine’s collections (Archives, General Collection and
Costume & Textiles) may be accessed for research purposes.
Research hours are Tuesday-Friday, 12-4 p.m. by appointment
only. Research fees vary by request. Members receive free
access to the Archives by appointment only. Submit a research
