Pension age for male workers is 60 years but for female workers 55 years in Pakistan. Hopefully EOBI, SECP and Federal Ombudsman will end this discrimination.

Pension age for male workers is 60 years
but for female workers 55 years in Pakistan,
according to the law. This fact can be
confirmed from Employees Oldage Benefit
Institution (EOBI). Population of women is
higher than men, however, male workers
have to work extra for 60 months in the
private sector. It is a sheer discrimination.
Economic management team of federal
government has been claiming economic
growth, therefore, EOBI, SECP and Federal
Ombudsman should eliminate pension
discrimination without any delay in favor of
male workers. Hopefully this discrimination
will end by December 2016 without
intervention of Supreme Court of Pakistan.
