Law Updates:
 The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi,
gave its approval for Creation of two additional benches of the Authority
for Advance Rulings (Income Tax) in New Delhi and Mumbai.
 Vide PR No. 44/2015 dated February 25, 2015, SEBI has issued
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on the applicability of SEBI
(Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013 to address the queries of various
market participants on its applicability and interpretation.
 Bharti Airtel, India's biggest mobile phone operator by users, is raising as
much as $415 million through the sale of shares in mobile tower unit

PROFESSIONALS INPUTS:
 RBI has decided that overdrafts extended by banks upto 5,000/- in
Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) accounts will be eligible for
classification under priority sector advances (‘others’ category) as also
weaker sections, provided the borrowers household annual income does
not exceed ` 60,000/- for rural areas and ` 1,20,000/- for non-rural areas.

/2014-15 dated February 25, 2015).
 Vide Notification ref. F. No. 1/31/2013-CL-V-Part dated 24-2-2015, MCA
has issued The Companies (Declaration and Payment of Dividend)
Amendment Rules, 2015 to amend the Companies (Declaration and
Payment of Dividend) Rules, 2014.
 Vide Notification ref. F. No. 01/16/2013 (Part-I) CL-V dated 24-2-2015,
MCA has amended the Companies (Registration Offices and Fees)
Amendment Rules, 2015 whereby Rule 10 has been amended to include
sub rule 7 which provides for submission of further/ additional
information/ documents called for, in respect of application/ e-form/
document filed electronically with the MCA in Form No. GNL – 4.

“Siddhartha Lal, MD & CEO says the company has no ambition of
getting into the big motorcycle segment and intends to focus on the
mid-sized motorcycle business.”
Early Life & Career:
Known as Motown's Mr. Nice Guy, Lal has grown as a strategist since he asked his father for two years of 'grace
period' to turn Royal Enfield around. The year was 2000. The company was making losses and the conventional
wisdom was that Royal Enfield should be sold. It's a good thing Lal got his way. In the next 12 years, he has not only
managed to turn Royal Enfield around but also helped restructure the group flagship Eicher Motors, often going
against the grain of analyst and consultant wisdom.
Mr. Siddhartha Lal, PGDME, MSc (Automotive Engg.) has been Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of
Eicher Motors Ltd., of Eicher Goodearth Pvt. Ltd. since May 1, 2006. Mr. Lal serves as the Chairman of the Board
and Managing Director of Ve Commercial Vehicles Ltd., India, A Volvo Group and Eicher Motors Joint Venture. He
served as the Chief Operating Officer of Eicher Ltd. since January 2004. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of
Royal Enfield Motors Ltd. from 2000 to 2004. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Eicher Ltd. and its
Managing Director since May 1, 2006. He worked with MAN Nutzfahrzeugen. Mr. Lal joined Eicher group in 1999
and since then he worked in various capacities in the marketing division of Eicher Tractors Business Unit. Due to his
efforts in this area, he has also been nominated as a part of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council for
Transportation. He is also a part of the newly formed Next Generation Leaders Board at Indian School of Business.
He has been Executive Director of Eicher Motors Ltd. since May 1, 2006. He serves as a Director of Ve Commercial
Vehicles Ltd., India, Eicher Goodearth Holdings Pvt. Ltd., Eicher Holding Pvt. Ltd., Eicher Investments Pvt. Ltd.,
Royal Enfield Motorcycles Limited, Design Intent Engineering, Inc. and Hoff & Associates, Inc. He served as a
Director of Eicher Ltd. He is now co-championing a Young Global Leader (part of World Economic Forum)
initiative ‘Transforming Urban Mobility’. Mr. Lal graduated in Economics from St. Stephens College, Delhi
University in 1994 and an alumnus of The Doon School. From 1996 to 1998, he completed a Post-Graduate Diploma
in Mechanical Engineering from Cranfield University, UK and a Master's of Science degree in Automotive
Engineering at the University of Leeds, UK.
Contribution towards Society:
Siddhartha is also passionately involved in the subject of transportation and the role it has to play in sustainability,
especially in urban settings; and its role on our health, safety and quality of life. He is now co-championing a Young
