The UBC Portfolio Community of Practice was established in 2003 to investigate the pedagogical benefits and resource implications of implementing e-portfolios across multiple disciplines and contexts. Over 13 projects involved 2000 students and 91 instructors. While activity declined after 2006, the community was revitalized in 2009 with two coordinators working to highlight members' work, foster networking, and develop shared resources through a new online space. The community aims to empower individuals, encourage collaboration, and connect those working on similar eportfolio projects across the university.
