a bit of history

P: SPORTS in 1998, most of our
            clients were
            outdoor-brands.

to be able to work in
            this highly
            competitive market-
            segment, we had
            build up a solid
            technical know-how
            for textiles, metals
            and plastics.

            We know how to
            work with complex
            ergonomical and
            biomechanical
            parameters and are
            able to foresee,
            react to and, where
            possible, set new
            trends- always
            appropriate to the
            client’s brand.
C: SALEWA product tech:
P: AVALANCHE SHOVEL - extruded ergal-alloy
Y: 2001 - GFPA handle
                      - delrin blade

                      design process:
                      - conceptualization
                      - industrial design
                      - 3D-modelling
                      - engineering cooperation

                      our idea:
                      a pre-assembled shovel is
easier to use in an emergency
                      than a standard shovel
                      assembly kit.
C: SALEWA product tech:
P: MORPHEUS ICEAXE - extruded ergal-alloy
Y: 2003 - GFPA handle
                     - Hytrel grip

                     design process:
                     - conceptualization
                     - industrial design
                     - 3D-modelling
                     - engineering cooperation

                     our idea:
                     lightweight and strong ice axe.
                     ergonomic head grip,
                     pre-curved shaft and
                     rubberised shaft grip.
                     New padded wrist loop.

                    - 3D-outsole modelling
                    - prototyping follow-up

                    our idea:
                    revolutionise salomon’s
                    SNB- design-language by
                    proposing an asymmetric,
                    stealth-like, “ugly” boot, with
                    all features hidden away under
                    magnetic flaps.
C: MARKER product tech:

                    - engineering

                    our idea:
a two part calotte of which
the top can be changed in
color and style to create a
                    recognisable range.

                           - made in china

                           design process:

                           our idea:
                           easily exchangable duoble-
                           lenses through hinged
                           two-piece frame: safe, fast
                           and mobile
C: HEAD product tech:
P: YouTek Power Racquets - Graphite lay-up

                           - color selection

                           our idea:
                           new single-piece grip
                           construction with traction
                           zones.
a bit of history

P: DIVING EQUIPMENT diving products were
                      amongst attivo’s very
                      first design projects.

                      these products often
                      include life-saving
                      features and have to be
                      perceived by the
                      consumer as
                      uncompromisingly
                      reliable, as well as fun
                      and easy to use.

                      over the course of the
                      years we have developed
                      all components of
                      diving-equipment for
                      three of the most
                      important players on the
                      market- contemporarily.

              - 3D-modelling
              - engineering

              our idea:
              groove in barrel extrusion
              guides shaft and increases
              precision revolutionarily.
              molded barrel tip feauters
              transport-fixation for shaft.

                   - 3D-modelling
                   - engineering

                   our idea:
                   product design relaunch,
                   maintaining some parts
                   from previous model

               our idea:
               extremely lightweight and
               compact buoyancy control-
               jacket which adresses
               hobby-divers’ needs.

a bit of history

P: TOOLS tools are mankind’s
           oldest design-projects.
           and since the stone-
           ages the design
           parameters haven’t
           changed much: tools are
           defined by their function,
           their ergonomics and
           the available
           manufacturing
           technology.

           the new ingredient is the
           brand, which can add to
           the product’s
           innovation-potential
           through its heritage and
           credibility.

           since 2001, we have
           designed and devolped
           over 170 products in the
           DIY/gardening market.
GARDENA 2009-2011 a bit of history

                    gardena, since 2007 part
                    of the swedish
                    husqvarna group, has
                    been one of our
                    strategic clients.

                    since 2001, we have
                    designed and devolped
                    over 170 products in the
                    DIY/gardening market,
                    ranging from cutting
                    tools to water pumps
                    and irrigation systems.

                    every year
                    approximately 25
                    gardena-products,
                    designed and
                    developped by attivo, are
                    launched into the

a bit of history

P: ELECTRONICS for us, the design of
                 consumer-electronics is
                 more than just
                 “skinning” printed
                 circuit boards. it is about
                 creating an interface
                 between a human and
                 “non-tangible”
                 functions.

                 our portfolio includes a
                 variety of products,
                 mostly in the
                 telecommunication
                 segment: mobile
                 phones, DECT-phones,
                 video phones and
                 walkie-talkies.

                 for most of those
                 projects we have
                 assisted our clients in
                 the industrialisation
                 process in the Far-East.
