6. Strategic First Business Vertical to Develop:
Native American Reservations
Native Americans have the highest rates of Diabetes in the nation and each of the 500+
reservations have federal funding for diabetes programs, as well as funding for food programs.
Directing grant funding on the reservation is determined by a local committee approving a
particular program, from grant monies already available, making this strategy our lowest-barrier,
fastest turn-around access to federal money for nutritional therapy programs.
Market Research
With a Native American MediMeals sales team we will approach tribes nationwide to allocate
medical and feeding funding to MediMeals nutritional therapy programs. These programs are
designed to help tribe members heal, while saving the reservations money from reduced medical
expenses, permitting them to direct excess funds to otherwise unaddressed health needs. Once we
establish momentum amongst multiple tribes, we will then approach the Federal Indian Health
Services (IHS) for national access.
Growth
We will then showcase the successful study results as justification to get on the 2018 budget for the
Ponca tribe and other surrounding tribes that will be abreast to the study.
