The court flings from 2001 through 2014 are the culmination of investigations
done, assembled and vetted over many prior years, before 2001.
The case against Keppel Ofshore & Marine Ltd. (KOM) and its subsidiary,
Keppel Ofshore & Marine U.S.A. Inc. (KOM USA) refect changing policies and
procedures by companies and governments in the United States and globally.

According to COURT FILINGS, FROM 2001 THROUGH 2014, Keppel Ofshore
& Marine Ltd. (KOM) and its subsidiary, Keppel Ofshore & Marine U.S.A. Inc.
(KOM USA), violated the FCPA by paying approximately $55 million in bribes
to ofcials at Petroleo Brasileiro S.A., Brazil’s state-owned oil company and
commonly known as Petrobras, and a Brazilian political party.
The bribes were made in order to secure at least 13 contracts with Petrobras
and another Brazilian entity. KOM concealed these bribes by paying them
through an intermediary as large commissions under purportedly legitimate
business consulting agreements.

2. As part of its global resolution of this matter, KOM has agreed to pay over $422
million in penalties, with $105 million due to the United States.
Of the remaining amount, KOM will pay more than $211 million to Brazilian
authorities and more than $105 million to Singaporean authorities.
THE DOJ RECOGNIZED KOM’S EXTENSIVE COOPERATION AND
REMEDIATION AND AGREED TO A 25% DEPARTURE BELOW THE BOTTOM
OF THE U.S. SENTENCING GUIDELINES RANGE.
The DOJ also announced that charges against a senior member of KOM’s legal
department were unsealed on December 22, 2017, and that he pleaded guilty
to conspiracy to violate the FCPA on August 29, 2017.

Honolulu, HI-based Pasha Hawaii has announced that two more ships will be
joining its feet which provides service to the Hawaii/Mainland trade lane. The
two new Liquefed Natural Gas (“LNG”) fueled containerships will be built at
Brownsville, TX-based Keppel AmFELS, a subsidiary of Keppel Ofshore &
Marine (“Keppel O&M”). The contracts were inked today.
This contract with Keppel allows Pasha Hawaii to continue to move forward in
our commitment to providing the best resources possible for our customers and
Hawaii’s shipping industry, while minimizing our environmental footprint,” said
George Pasha, IV, President and CEO, The Pasha Group. “We are proud
supporters of the Jones Act and look forward to working with Keppel’s team of
highly skilled shipbuilders.
