3. Why Is Metabolism Important For
Nurses?
•All individuals metabolize drugs differently due to genetic
differences, therefore, nurses should be aware that no two patients
are going to have identical responses to the same drug. We must be
knowledgeable about any potential side effects of each drug
throughout the lifespan and the appropriate actions to take in life
threatening situations.
