Tobernalt Holy Well
Sincere thanks to all who attended our pilgrimage walk from Carraroe church to the
Holy Well as part of the festival of faith. Over 150 people took part in the walk with
many more joining the group in the church and at the Holy Well.
A special thank you to our choir, traditional musicians, our speaker, Mr. Conor
McCann and all who helped with the organisation of the day.
Prayer to the Trinity
.Glory be to the Father,
Who by His almighty power and love created me,
making me in the image and likeness of God.

Who by His Precious Blood delivered me from hell,
and opened for me the gates of heaven.

2. The closing mass for the Festival of Faith will take place in St. Anne’s Church
on Monday 27th
May at 7:30pm. The homilist will be Archbishop Charles
Brown, Apostolic Nuncio to Ireland. All are welcome.
Fatima Parish Pilgrimage
Please note the parish pilgrimage to Fatima is now closed. Thank you to all who have
responded and will be travelling to Fatima in June.
Tax Reclaiming for Charities
Shortly we will be sending our forms for 2012 reclaim of tax on your generous
contribution to the Church. All you need to do is sign the form when you receive it
and return it to us as soon as possible. Conditions are you should be a PAYE worker
and paid at least €250 to the Church in the year. Your help and support is needed and
appreciated.
Defibrillator in Our Parish
Fundraising for a defibrillator in our parish will take place on Thursday 6th
June with a table quiz in Molly Fultons beginning at 8.00pm. If you would
like to help or make a donation towards this project, please contact Fr. Jim
after Mass.
Consecration to Our Lady
The Elphin diocese will be consecrated to Our Lady's Immaculate Heart on June 8th
by Bishop Jones. In preparation for this a conference will take place in the Gillooly
Hall on Sunday June 2nd at 3pm. Fr Michael Maher will be the main speaker. Fr.
Michael has worked with Sr. Briege McKenna and often spoke in Knock.
Year of Faith – Take a Card
Prayer card for the year of faith is now available at the back and side door.
Please take a copy home and use the prayer during the day.
Fashion and Variety Show
Thank you to all who attended the fashion and variety show on Thursday
night. Many familiar faces were modelling on the cat walk!!

The Diocese of Elphin will host the Celebration of Marriage on Sunday June 30th

3pm in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Sligo. Couples celebrating

special Mass where they will receive a blessing from Bishop Christopher Jones plus an

North West Hospice Needs You!
North West Hospice is seeking to recruit Volunteer Collectors to help out at its annual
fundraising events, such as flag days, bag packing and Sunflower Days. Training and
information will be provided to all volunteers. Anyone interested in becoming a

The pilgrims’ prayer at the holy well reminds us that the gift of our faith is precious
and sacred. As we walk on this holy ground let us remember our ancestors who
gathered and prayed in penal times.

Coffee morning, Saturday first of June, from 10am in Niall and Geraldine Gordon's in
aid of Simon's trip to Uganda this summer with Voluntary Services Abroad, a medical
charity. All proceeds go to the charity"
