A partnership between one of Manuel Antonio’s best hotels and Trip Advisor’s most recommended Costa Rican car rental operator excels in customer service.
Manuel Antonio Partnership Excels at Customer Service
1. (January 28, 2015) Manuel Antonio, Puntarenas --
One of the most popular destinations in Costa Rica gained an advocate for customer service
with the addition of Vamos Rent-A-Car to the Manuel Antonio area. This partnership is a logical
step to provide excellent customer service on both fronts. With one of area’s best hotels and
Trip Advisor’s most recommended Costa Rican rental car operator, it is a proverbial match made
in paradise.
With quadruple the number of hotels and a closer proximity to the Quepos/Manuel Antonio
airport, Vamos responded to their customer demand by relocating from Dominical/Uvita. Their
new branch office shares a stunning clifftop view of the ocean and is situated in one of the
area’s prime locations – near the Costa Verde Hotel (https://www.costaverde.com) and besides
the El Avion Restaurant (search YouTube.com for the history behind the airplane).
El Avion (the airplane) is a famous landmark on the road from Quepos to the national park as
the aircraft is clearly visible from the street and serves as the restaurant and bar. With
spectacular sunset views, this is a dream sundowner location with a cocktail menu to please all
tastes! The Costa Verde resort has gradually expanded over the 25 years that it has been in
operation and offers a range of accommodations and services, such as destination weddings, to
appeal to all visitors to the area.
Manuel Antonio is a popular tourist destination due to its proximity to the Juan Santamaria
International Airport and the natural beauty of the area. Visitors reluctant to travel the two
hour journey by road may fly into the local Quepos airport and be chauffeured by a Vamos
representative. Local hotel delivery is also an option for those too relaxed to travel to the
nearby office itself!
Costa Rica has numerous protected areas; however, Manuel Antonio National Park has long
been a treasured gem because of its accessibility and quality of rainforest, wildlife, and white
sand beaches. The unusual geographical feature of the tombola -- once an island, now joined to
the mainland by a ridge of land -- provides visitors with a trail around this rocky outcrop with
views of the blue ocean, glimpsed through leafy plants and trees. Iguanas bask in the sunlight,
monkeys chatter from the treetops and sloths snooze overhead.
Named as the eleventh most beautiful national park in the world in the Forbes list of twelve in
2011, the park draws many visitors who flock to the pristine beaches and the biodiversity of this
small protected area. With approximately 150,000 visitors annually, the smallest of Costa Rica’s
fifty national parks, closes on Mondays to allow the wildlife to have a break from camera flashes
and for park rangers to maintain trails and visitor facilities.
The town of Quepos has a number of restaurants serving local and international dishes with
seafood on every menu. Nightlife is provided by a number of bars with a low-key international
flavor. In Manuel Antonio, El Avion is THE place to eat and drink, but coffee at Café Milagro
2. comes highly recommended as does La Cantina restaurant.
Ballena National Park, named for the distinctive whale tail shaped sand bank that projects from
the beach and the fact that whales can be seen seasonally from the shores, is just over an hour’s
drive from Manuel Antonio and well worth the trip. Along the coastal road, Route 34, visitors
also enjoy pausing at the surf beaches of Dominical and Uvita, which are just under an hour’s
drive from Manuel Antonio.
The new Vamos location is a real plus for visitors to the area who can fly into town or pick up a
vehicle once they arrive from elsewhere to explore the beautiful Puntarenas coastline with the
freedom of their rental car. The Manuel Antonio branch office is open weekdays, 8am until 5pm
and weekends, 8am until 12 noon. Come see the views, but enjoy the perks!
