Ark of salvation: How Noah's Ark points to Christ
- 3. Noah lived in a
WORLD that
had grown
increasingly
wicked and
godless.
(Gen 6:5,11-12)
- 4. Noah, though
a SINNER, in
comparison was a
righteous man
and found GRACE
in God’s eyes.
(Gen. 6:9, 22)
- 6. GOD took the
initiative to save
Noah and his
family and
judge the rest.
(Gen. 6:14-21)
- 7. God planned the
ARK as a means
of rescue from a
great FLOOD for
Noah’s family.
- 8. God shut the
DOOR of the ark,
not Noah. God
was responsible
for their salvation.
(Gen. 7:16)
- 10. God STEERED the
ark; there was
no rudder. God
controlled its
path. Noah had
to trust God.
- 11. Salvation was by
God’s GRACE,
received through
FAITH. Noah
believed God’s
words and acted in
obedience,
- 12. building the ark
according to
God’s
instructions.
Noah acted to
save his entire
family. (Gen. 7:5)
- 13. There was only
one DOOR to the
ark. Only by
entering through
the door was
Noah’s family safe
from the flood’s
destruction.
- 14. Inside the ark,
they were safe.
There were the
only ones who
were saved.
(Gen. 6:17-18)
- 18. He has revealed
a coming
judgment,
when Christ
returns.
(2 Pet. 2:5-6;
Rev. 20:11-15)
- 19. God displays
His GRACE.
(Ephe. 2:6-8)
Jesus Christ is
our “ARK of
Salvation.”
- 20. He is the only way
to be rescued from
God’s judgment.
(John 14:6)
- 22. Once God shuts
the door, NO ONE
else can enter; it
is too LATE.
(Lk. 13:25)
