1. Walking in the Spirit Isaiah 49:6.....I will give You as a light to the Gentiles, that You should be my salvation to the ends of the earth....
2. The Holy Spirit in Our Lives We can see the power of the Holy Spirit back in the days of Creation. We can follow the work of the Holy Spirit through the lives of the prophets. The Holy Spirit was present at the baptism of Jesus and was at Penteocst where the disciples became empowered for the great work ahead of them. Since then the Holy Spirit has been working in us to bring forth the plan of salvation into the world.
3. Gives Birth to Spiritual Life & Is Our Guide and Teacher John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 16:13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 1John 2:27 But you have received the Holy Spirit, and He lives within you, so you don't need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what He teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as He has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ.
4. Our Comforter or Counselor John 14:16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever 1 Corinthians 2:10 These things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. Luke 11: 11,12 “When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.”
5. We can have the Fruit of the Spirit and be Part of God's Family Galatians 5:22,23 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Romans 8:14-16 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God's Spirit when He adopted you as His own children. Now we call Him, "Abba, Father." For His Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God's children.
