teachers feel comfortable discussing how to address their classroom challenges and
successes.
Check to see if your alma mater has blogs and online forums where alumni can
connect with professors and students.
Joining professional organizations (i.e., Professional Association for Georgia

Think Across Disciplines
“Why are schools so
involved with businesses?
Who is behind the Common
Core? What is the purpose
of education in a democracy?
These are the kinds of
questions that provoke our
students to develop critical
insights into the topics
that most others take for
granted.”
