JAXA’s Future Activities From Dr. Tachikawa’s new year message for 2010 (Tentative Translation) “ We would like to make the achievements of the Japanese Aerospace Activities visible as much as possible, for the further development of this Area. In particular, with regard to the Human Space Flight, we have to produce dozens of results, following the completion of KIBO/Japanese Experiment Module of ISS. JAXA will proceed various Projects according its plan, produce good results, and publish them as needed and promptly. In addition to proceeding the works steadily, as a R&D agency, JAXA need to pay attention to the potential new technologies , which are very important for the next generation. Among the various technologies needed in the future, for example, we would like to develop a Recovery Vehicle soon, to return objects like the experimental samples from Space. With regard to Satellites, by expanding the utilization, results will get across the many areas. To provide various information and expand the utilization, we need various sensors. We think various sensors will lead to further applications, and we would like to promote the development of New Sensors . In this way, JAXA will cultivate the new researches, which will be useful for our lives in the future.“
