Agile is becoming an overused word. John offered some excellent answers to the questions: What is an agile organisation? How is agile working different from flexible working? What are the corporate benefits of agile working? In his presentation to APM on 10th March 2015 [full webinar recording can be viewed at: [ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQa5YnqCHOE ] John set out a credible vision of the world of work in 2025 and how this will alter the ways we work and what work activities will take place in this scenario. John answered several questions at the end of the webinar. However, he kindly agreed to provide a written response to each of the questions received during the webinar. These are reproduced in the associated document. Drawing on his experience John advised the audience on Initiating and delivering successful agile working projects, and how to effectively manage different work styles in a project team and the organisation as a whole. John Eary, Director, JEC Professional Services Ltd. John is a senior Management Consultant who has managed major assignments for the private, public and not-for-profit sectors, in the UK and internationally including the Government of Botswana and IBM Thailand. John has a strong track record in advising organisations on new ways of working and exploiting ICT effectively. John has assisted over 30 organisations in new ways of working and is recognised as having a combination of the analytical, technical, and people skills required to manage agile working projects. Prior to establishing JEC Professional Services in 2010 John was a Senior Consultant at NCC Group and was formerly Training and Multimedia Services Manager at the National Computing Centre. John has a Master’s degree from Warwick University Business School. John is a regular blogger on Agile Working. John regards himself as a true Agile Worker and practices work-life integration.
