This document discusses IT infrastructure solutions for microfinance in India. It begins with background on microfinance and SKS Microfinance, one of the largest microfinance organizations in India. It then analyzes SKS's business needs and proposes an application and hardware mapping to meet those needs. This includes a structured MIS, business intelligence tools, messaging applications, and smart cards. It presents a cost analysis and concludes that this first-generation model provides a scalable architecture that will allow SKS to expand into insurance and savings as it diversifies its services.

10. Conclusion
This is the 1st Generation Model.
This MF company will be diversifying into
Insurance & Savings Bank as well, Therefore we
will be needing more bandwidth , processing , MIS
and storage capabilities. Therefore this
architecture is scalable.
We had an alternate choice of going with RELIANCE
DATA CENTER in house datacenter works out to be
more cost effective over the long run.
