• El dato es único, lo mejor es ir siempre a la fuente de los datos, no tener
copias intermedias.
• El dato hay que compartirlo (internamente y externamente: dato
abierto), compartiendo es cuando multiplicamos su valor.
• Para poder compartir el dato tiene que estar accesible (de forma fácil y
estable a lo largo del tiempo).
• La inmensa mayoría (por no decir todos) de los datos tienen la capacidad

32. What is IODC?
IODC is the essential meeting point for the global community to debate and study the future
of open data.
IODC aims to build stronger relationships between open data initiatives from the different
countries and establish a dialogue between all the stakeholders:
• Policy makers and Public Sector Information (PSI) holders • Private companies, startups
and freelancers
• Activists and NGO ́s
• Data journalism
• Representatives of civil society from all over the world.
IODC gathers countries from the northern and southern to define tendencies and establish
global policies of collaboration.

‼ Host a panel, an interactive workshop, a tutorial, or other kind of event on
an innovative topic approach, in order to discuss specific topic to solve
challenges, collect best practices or learn from others.
‼ Design an interactive and engaging thematic space to have in-depth
engagement with peers on specific open data subjects
‼ Host a session that lasts between1- 2 hours.
‼ Include in the submission a tentative agenda and the detailed
composition of the session and the requirements.

‼ Help us to produce a revised version of the community-led IODC roadmap
produced from the 3rd International Open Data Conference: updated priorities,
commitments and required actions.
‼ Give us your proposals on other priorities for the global OD community that
should be included in this global roadmap.
‼ Focus your submission on one of the following Action Areas:
• The Charter: Deliver shared principles for open data:
• Standards: Develop good practices and open standards for data publication:
• Capacity Building: Build capacity to produce and use open data effectively:
• Problem Solving: Strengthen open data innovation networks.
• Measurement: Adopt common measurement and evaluation tools
