1. A LETTER TO GOD: OVERVIEW
Pastor Roger's suggestion during the Bible study that
Thursday night left us all speechless: write a letter to
God! “How can one write a letter to God?” exclaimed
the members of the assembly, incredulous. “Why write
a letter when a simple oral prayer suffices for God to
hear us? Besides, how can one send a letter to a Divine
Being?” Obviously, we could not count on the local Post
Office to deliver our mail to heaven; they already had
their hands full with the postal services on earth.

2. A LETTER TO GOD: OVERVIEW
These remarks, tinged with derision, did not shake the
serenity of the pastor, who was convinced that God had
inspired him to present his suggestion. In our letter, we
were to relate our problems to God, and ask Him to solve
them. Many did not take the exercise seriously. As for me,
I was immersed in such destitution that any idea likely to
get me out of my misery was welcomed. Of course, like
everyone else, the idea of writing a letter to God seemed
to me devoid of common sense, but after a moment’s
reflection, I surrendered: this illogical act was the kind
God loves to use to manifest his glory. After all, did not
the nature of my problems require a supernatural
intervention of God?

3. A LETTER TO GOD: OVERVIEW
The next day, sitting on my mattress on the floor, I decided
to write my letter to God. I understood that only an
exceptional faith could remove the mountain of obstacles
that stood before me. I prayed to the Holy Spirit to give me
the inspiration to write this letter, according to the will of
God. I wrote it as a cover letter. I dedicated to it the same
care and determination I would have to convince an
employer to hire me. I introduced myself to God as his
legitimate child, reminding Him of his promises.

master's in business administration. On a professional level, he has had a distinguished
