The Oppimobiili project from 2014-2016 aimed to develop digital learning solutions and give students flexibility in designing individual learning paths. The 280,000 euro budget went towards creating virtual courses for Vantaa Vocational College, producing material for about 40 courses across 42 teachers. The project materials and courses covered vocational and general studies, as well as training for on-the-job learning periods in areas like auto repair, hairdressing, engineering, tourism, construction, and health care.

Oppimobiili -project 2014-2016
The Project was a part of the Finland Ministery of Education
and Culture Youth Guarantee program.
The aims of the project were i) to develop solutions for
learning and teaching in digital environments, and ii) to give
students possibilities to create individual learning pathways.
The budget of the project was 280 000 euros for 2014-2016.
The rst virtual courses of Vantaa Vocational College were
made within this project (At the end, material for about 40
different virtual courses were producted by 42 teachers).

Reaching the vocational skills requirements and competence
requirements are the goal for the e-learning process.
Teachers need to clarify the requirements for the students.
Importance of guidance, the teacher's
view
It's useful to meet face-to-face before starting the studies in
Verkkovaria, recommended also at the end.
Motivate the students showing the vocational bene ts of
completing the tasks
Guidance in person, but also using social media and other
virtual media
Teachers are free to choose any learning environment they
prefer (Fronter, GAfE, Of ce365, OneNote, Blogger etc).
Trialogical Learning as a pedagogical
view
Learners develop, create and transform "shared objects"
(practises, tutorials, manuals etc) together.
Rich use of technology and cross-fertilization practices
between students, educational institutions and work life
organizations.

The main point was in using digital devices (mobile phones
and tablets) for completing the tasks: taking photos etc and
sharing their work immediately. Digital environments create
possibilities to express oneself also without writing.
