Poster I/D Modelling
1. Inductive and Deductive
System Dynamics Modeling
Andreas Größler1 and Peter M. Milling2
Purpose: Proposes a distinction between inductive and deductive
modeling, with consequences concerning the starting points of the
modeling projects and the outcomes to be expected.
Motivation:
1. limited organizational impact of system dynamics projects in
companies;
2. inappropriateness of standard modeling project approaches in
academia.
