2. School Structure: How will the school be built so that all
students have equal access to the structure and facilities?
The school will be divided by hallways. One hallway for 6th graders, The
second for 7th graders, a hallway for 8th graders, and a hallway for
administration and the special education department. The center of the
school will be for the library and computer labs. There will be rails by each
school entrance, the stage, the stadium, and anywhere else necessary for
handicapped students and staff.
Teachers will be required to be proactive in creating lessons and
assignments.
Students will be provided with the following:
- Chrome books for schoolwork
- Extra opportunities for technology and internet access
- Teachers will have morning and after school tutorials, and an advisory
period for students to catch up on unfinished work or for extra help.
3. Classes: How
will students
be grouped?
Students will be placed in random
groups of four. Groups will be
changed every six weeks.
4. Personnel: How will the school be staffed?
• The school will be staffed by
teachers and support staff of
different backgrounds.
• Staff will ensure students are
learning in a safe and supportive
learning environment.
• Teachers and staff will build
relationships with students.
• Teachers and staff will encourage
parent and family involvement in
education.
• Teachers and staff will model
positive behavior and praise
students for good behavior.
5. Instruction: How will the teacher provide access to
the general curriculum to all her students?
• Teachers will use Canvas and share course content with students.
• Assignments will be uploaded into Canvas by Teachers, and students
can annotate on the assignments and click submit once completed
(this is very helpful for students without a printer).
• Discussions, modules, quizzes, and notes pages will be built in.
• Videos will be uploaded by the teacher with subtitles (This is helpful
for students who do not remember how to do an assignment and
needs to look back at what was taught in class. It is also helpful for
students who miss a day of instruction.
• Each module will have a word wall with the vocabulary words taught
in each topic. Along with a page that has the vocabulary words and
the definitions.
• Text – To – Speech will be built in for assignments, quizzes, and tests.
• Speech – To – Text will be embedded for writing assignments to
specific students who have trouble with writing.
6. General Curriculum:
General Curriculum will be

8. Maneuvering the Middle is a math
intervention website that will be used
by Math teachers to assist with lesson
planning, classroom technology, and
math concepts.
9. Technology: Ascend
Math
• Ascend math will be used to provide a
unique curriculum for each student to
help them build foundation on their
math skill gaps
10. Technology: Smart Learning
Suite will be used by teachers
for in-person and virtual
learning. It will have lessons,
game activities, and
collaboration tools.
11. Technology: Nearpod
Will be used to provide
interactive lessons,
videos, and formative
assessments in all core
subjects. Lessons and
presentations in
Nearpod can be edited
and customized by
teachers to fit students
needs.
12. Technology: Vizzle
• Vizzle is a website that has visual and
interactive lessons in all core subjects for
special education students. Teachers will
find a lesson that is related to the topic
currently being taught. Each
activity/interactive lesson has three levels
of difficulty. Level will be assigned to
students depending on their abilities.
14. Assessment: How will students in your UDL
school be assessed? How often and what type
of assessment materials/methods will be used?
• Students with IEP’s and 504’s will have the same test
as other students, but with accommodations and/or
modifications, per their paperwork.
• Students with oral administration will be taken to
small group testing to not interrupt other students or
can take the test online in the classroom using a
headset.
• All students will have the option to take the
assessment online or on paper.
• Students can use highlighters and manipulatives of
their choice.
• Anchor charts will be in the classroom on the walls.
Students can look up at the anchor charts to trigger
their memory.
• A word wall will be in the classroom for English
