1) The document discusses the importance of being good stewards of our minds, thoughts, and what we expose ourselves to in order to resist Satan's influence and remain faithful to God.
2) It warns about the dangers of popular music, movies, and media being used by Satan to lead people astray and encourages focusing on prayer, Bible study, and uplifting music instead.
3) The conclusion emphasizes committing our entire beings to God and not separating our spiritual lives from our daily lives if we wish to truly be good stewards and Christians.

Message #1: Satan-Proofing Your Mind As Stewards
in the Last Days
Songs: “Take my life and let it be.” (330)
“I’m pressing on the upward way.” (625)
Scripture: Philippians 2:5-8.
STORY:
Tsunami coming! Huts had to be set on fire in order
to save the persons that were in the valley working.
Comments:
Nothing was wrong with them working; they were working
hard to feed their families. But because they were down in
the valley – they were not on high ground – they could not
see the tsunami coming! However, they were in grave
danger and did not know it! (Pun intended) There are
people on the hill (on the walls of Zion!) that can see the
danger; they see the destruction that is coming – they can
see death coming; the tsunami is ready to sweep away the
Brethren, the friends, the loved ones; it’s a DESPERATE
STUATION! Desperate times needs desperate measures:
If there’s fire in a building and people are in danger you
don’t form a committee and them bring a recommendation
to ask for a VOTE?
Wrong time for that! You get autocratic and authoritarian –
It’s time to start shouting: FIRE! FIRE! Get out! Move it!
Out!
2. Hebrew 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of
knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will
also reject thee,…”
MUSIC:
The Lure of Popular Music.--I feel alarmed as I witness
everywhere the frivolity of young men and young women
who profess to believe the truth. God does not seem to be
in their thoughts. Their minds are filled with nonsense. Their
conversation is only empty, vain talk. They have a keen ear
for music, and Satan knows what organs to excite to
animate, engross, and charm the mind so that Christ is not
desired. The spiritual longings of the soul for divine
knowledge, for a growth in grace, are wanting. {AH 407.3}
I was shown that the youth must take a higher stand and
make the word of God the man of their counsel and their
guide. Solemn responsibilities rest upon the young, (408)
which they lightly regard. The introduction of music into
their homes, instead of inciting to holiness and spirituality,
has been the means of diverting their minds from the truth.
Frivolous songs and the popular sheet music of the day
seem congenial to their taste. The instruments of music
have taken time which should have been devoted to prayer.
Music, when not abused, is a great blessing; but when put
to a wrong use, it is a terrible curse. It excites, but does not
impart that strength and courage which the Christian can
find only at the throne of grace while humbly making known
his wants and, with strong cries and tears, pleading for
heavenly strength to be fortified against the powerful
3. temptations of the evil one. Satan is leading the young
captive. Oh, what can I say to lead them to break his power
of infatuation! He is a skillful charmer luring them on to
perdition. {AH 407.4}

Page 63, par. 1:
“It was at this time that I met many of the well known rock
music stars. They all signed contracts with satan in return
for fame and fortune. The evolution of rock music in the
U.S. was carefully planned by satan and carried out by his
servants step by step.”
Page 69, par. 1:
“Also, in recent years, especially on the West Coast, large
numbers of young people are becoming involved in
satanism through rock music, occultic role-playing fantasy
games and, of course, by much individual recruitment.”
(John Lomacang, et al) CD’s and DVD’s – They pray over
them in the coven of the studio where they gather 13
witches and warlocks; they pray for demons to accompany
them to wherever they are taken when they are bought
(Our homes? Our bedrooms? Our living rooms? In our
church?)
4. Galatians 6:7: Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for
whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 6:8 For
he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption;
but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life
everlasting. 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in
due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Isaiah 59:19: So shall they fear the name of the LORD
from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun.
When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the
LORD shall lift up a standard against him.
(Principles: principles or values that govern a person's
behavior. level of quality accepted as norm: a level of
quality or excellence that is accepted as the norm or by
which actual attainments are judged (often used in the
plural)
How is that going to happen in our lives when we have no
standards! Anything goes, 24-six…and then we pay dues on
Sabbath (OR Sunday) (Usually Part-day). Lord, help us!
THE WAY WE CAN BE GOOD STEWARDS IS TO GIVE OUR
ENTIRE BEING TO GOD:
Romans 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield
yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye
obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto
righteousness?
5. How can we, as Stewards of God’s gifts, continue to look at
the wrong things, speak idleness and garbage all week; how
can we touch the wrong “stuff”, taste the wrong “stuff”,
sniff the wrong “stuff” – and expect not to reap the
“benefits”?
We need to stop separating our “church life” from
our work life, our school life, our during the week
life…
TO BE A GOOD STEWARD MEANS TO BE A GOOD
CHRISTIAN!
Back in the day “Christian” meant something – it meant that
you were marked for death – it was like a curse…Many,
many Christians died for because of their loyalty to Christ.
Today, there is hardly any Christ left in “Christian”; for some
so called Christians today, if satan was a fly and God gave
them a fly-swatter they couldn’t swat him – ‘cause they
have become faith-less, mind-less and power-less
because they have taken the basics out of their lives – The
basics - like PRAYER, WITNESSING, FAMILY WORSHIP,
STUDYING GOD’S WORDS! (Please, take it seriously, it’s
what God is saying to you/me/us!) FASTING AND SINGING
PURE, UPLIFTING SONGS.
1. A Power to Win Souls.--There is great pathos and music
in the human voice, and if the learner will make determined
efforts, he will acquire habits of talking and singing that will
be to him a power to win souls to Christ.--Manuscript 22,
1886. {Ev 504.2}
6. 2. Bearing a Special Message in Song.--There are those who
have a special gift of song, and there are times when a
special message is borne by one singing alone or by several
uniting in song. But the singing is seldom to be done by a
few. The ability to sing is a talent of influence, which God
desires all to cultivate and use to His name's glory.--
Testimonies, vol. 7, pp. 115, 116. (1902) {Ev 504.3}
3. Attractiveness of the Human Voice.--The human
voice that sings the music of God from a heart filled with
gratitude and thanksgiving is far more pleasing to Him than
the melody of all the musical instruments ever invented by
human-hands. Letter2c,1892.
507 {Ev 506.4}
WE MUST BE GOOD STEWARDS OF OUR THOUGHTS:
Impure Thoughts Lead to Impure Actions.--This is an
age when corruption is teeming everywhere. The lust of
the eye and corrupt passions are aroused by beholding
and by reading. The heart is corrupted through the
imagination. The mind takes pleasure in contemplating
scenes which awaken the lower and baser passions. These
vile images, seen through defiled imagination, corrupt the
morals and prepare the deluded, infatuated beings to give
loose rein to lustful passions. Then follow sins and crimes
which drag beings formed in the image of God down to a
level with the beasts, sinking them at last in perdition. {AH
408.1}
7. WE ARE TO BE GOOD STEWARDS OF WHAT WE SEE.
I Will See No Wicked Thing: Parents must exercise
unceasing watchfulness, that their children be not lost to
God. The vows of David, recorded in the 101st (409) Psalm,
should be the vows of all upon whom rest the
responsibilities of guarding the influences of the home. The
psalmist declares: "I will set no wicked thing before
mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall
not cleave to me. A froward heart shall depart from me: I
will not know a wicked person. Whoso privily slandereth
his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high
look and a proud heart will not I suffer.
He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house:
he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight."
THE POSITIVES:
Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they
may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he
shall serve me. {AH 408.2}
(Counsel from the servant of the Lord) Say firmly:
(1) "I will not spend precious moments in reading that
which will be of no profit to me, and which only unfits me to
be of service to others.
(2) I will devote my time and my thoughts to acquiring a
fitness for God's service.
8. (3) I will close my eyes to frivolous and sinful things. My
ears are the Lord's, and I will not listen to the subtle
reasoning of the enemy.
(4) My voice shall not in any way be subject to a will that is
not under the influence of the Spirit of God.
(5) My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and every
power of my being shall be consecrated to worthy pursuits."
{AH 409.1} PRAISE THE LORD!!!
SONG (S)
SOLUTION (CONTINUING):
(1) Romans 12:1: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by
the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living
sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your
reasonable service. 12:2 And be not conformed to this
world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of
your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and
acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
(2) Romans 13:11: And that, knowing the time, that now
[it is] high time to awake out of sleep: for now [is] our
salvation nearer than when we believed. 13:12 The night is
far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the
works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of
light. 13:13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in
9. rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and
wantonness, not in strife and envying. 13:14 But put ye on
the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the
flesh, to [fulfil] the lusts [thereof]. Hallelujah!!!
(3) 5T Chap. 25 p. 217:
I am filled with sadness when I think of our condition as a
people. (Lord, help us!)
The Lord has not closed heaven to us, but our own course
of continual backsliding has separated us from God. (Lord,
help us!)
Pride, covetousness, and love of the world have lived in the
heart without fear of banishment or condemnation. Grievous
and presumptuous sins have dwelt among us. (Lord, help
us!)
And yet the general opinion is that the church is flourishing
and that peace and spiritual prosperity are in all her
borders. (Lord, help us!) {5T 217.1}
The church has turned back from following Christ her
Leader and is steadily retreating toward Egypt. (Lord, help
us!)
Yet few are alarmed or astonished at their want of spiritual
power. (Lord, help us!)
10. Doubt, and even disbelief of the testimonies of the Spirit of
God, is leavening our churches everywhere. Satan would
have it thus. Ministers who preach self instead of Christ
would have it thus. (Lord, help us!)
The testimonies are unread and unappreciated.
(Lord, help us!)
God has spoken to you. Light has been shining from His
word and from the testimonies, and both have been slighted
and disregarded. (Lord, help us!)
The result is apparent in the lack of purity and devotion
and earnest faith among us. (Lord, help us!) {5T 217.2}
Romans 14:12 So then every one of us shall give account
of himself to God. 14:13 Let us not therefore judge one
another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a
stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in [his] brother's way.
(4) Exodus 32:26 Then Moses stood in the gate of the
camp, and said, Who [is] on the LORD'S side? [let him
come] unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered
themselves together unto him. (Whose side are you on
today? Will you be as one of the sons of Levi today? In
standing on the Lord’s side?)
(5) BE LIKE JESUS:
Luke 22:42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this
cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
11. Matthew 26:39 And he went a little farther, and fell on his
face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let
this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as
thou [wilt].
Mark 14:36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things [are]
possible unto thee; take away this cup from me:
nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.
(Paul) Phil. 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also
in Christ Jesus: 2:6 Who, being in the form of God,
thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 2:7 But made
himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a
servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 2:8 And
being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and
became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
WHO IS ON THE LORD’S SIDE?
May God help us!
PRAYER TO CLOSE.
