MANAGEMENT
 Externally
EXTERNAL SYSTEM MANAGEMENT
 The system will be managed externally by the course
instructor and instructional designer. After the course is
designed, the instructor will manage the tools and the
instructional designer will assist where there are issues that
    arise with the course design.
 The basic foundation for the course is designed internally by
Litmos but instructional materials and day-to-day management
of the course materials and analytics will be managed by the
    instructional designer and the instructor.
INTERNAL
 Infrastructure
Management
SYSTEM DESIGN AND ACCESS
 The Instructional Designer will start with the tools
provided in Litmos and add presentations, audio and video
to enhance the course. Both the instructional designer
and the instructor will have access to system design tools.
INTERNAL OPERATIONAL PROCESS

 The instructor will test the course for
    functionality and user-friendliness.
ENROLLMENT
 Students will enroll in the course
 The instructor will set up discussions, grade

BASED ON COURSE OUTCOMES
 Evaluate, (Willis, 1994) understand the
    learners characteristics
 Review (Dick et al.,2009) what is essential
    content, and media selection.
 Evaluate the entire learning experience
insure content leads to the desired outcomes

How will Litmos Look to our
         Students
HELP LEARNERS UNDERSTAND THE CONTEXT OF
THE LEARNING EXPERIENCE
 Morrison, Ross & Kemp (2004) refer to three types of
    context

 Orienting Context
Students reason for being in a course
 Instructional Context
    The learning environment, and scheduling
 Transfer Context
Students will value information if they perceive it
is useful for work and school applications

  2. Charlie Stockton will be the Project Manager in charge developing the Instructional Design and Information Management Department. He was hired by the director of the human resources department who is providing, by request from Charlie, one currently employed Training Department and Budgeting employee. Charlie Stockton brought on board Susie Wells, the Instructional Designer and Susie recommended Paul Petties as the department’s Graphics Designer. The Litmos LMS already offers a complete ready-to-use learning platform that is perfectly sized for the new department’s needs. The New Instructional Design and Information Management Department will operate on an annual budget of $300,000.00.

  6. Instructional Designer Susie Wells is the content developer or subject matter expert. Is charged with building an educational system that would meet the training needs. Instructional Graphic Designer Paul Petties will assist with the growing complexity of the design process. Roytek, (2010) “modern theories focus on rich multidisciplinary and often collaborative learning tasks” (p. 172).
  7. Graph of Internal Operational Process.
  8. To get from initial design to development and through implementation, specific types of tools are required. The tools we will utilize are YouTube; helps to explain something by using live video, Slide Share; social activity for sharing presentations. The animations supports documents, PDFs, videos, and webinars. PowerPoint is a default tool for creating presentation and it can create excellent flash quality animation. According to Simonson, Smaldino, Albright and Zvacek (2012), support materials and visualizations like presentations, animation and video support cognitive learning.
  9. Adding a new module to a course is simplified by clicking on one of the tools.
  10. The price of usage varies according to the type of plan.
  11. Integrate within your system
  12. Real time results for project management and host company oversight
  13. The new department will be reportable to the corporate level. A current employee from the financial department who is knowledgeable in how the parent departments operate will be selected. The new employee will address the new department’s accounting needs and manage its finances. This person directly reports to Charlie Stockton.
