A perceived lack of development opportunities is a major contributor for the
low levels of retention among Millennials. According to research by
PWC, Millennials place a higher value on professional development than their
non-Millennial colleagues and pay close attention to whether perspective
employers offer this type of opportunity.

Be open about the company’s vision and values
Studies have also revealed the Millennial generation to be the least engaged
generational group, but creating a shared sense of purpose unifies the
workforce and gives meaning to each employee, in turn boosting employee
engagement.

Give constant feedback
This is a critical ingredient in millennial job performance and satisfaction.
Occasional performance appraisals might have been enough for the baby
boomers, but this younger generation, raised in a culture of high
expectations, is hungry for praise.

Today’s technology-saturated world might be daunting to past
generations, but Millennials have grown up in it. A recent by ComptTIA found
that 75 percent of Millennials look at how tech-savvy a prospective employer
