3. Our History
• 1979 Trinity was formed in Cambridge, MD, by J. Edward Banning and wife, Deana
Banning to operate as a truck brokerage.
• 1991 Jeff Banning, eldest son of J. Edward Banning, purchased majority stock in
Trinity and became President & CEO
• 1995 Corporate headquarters moved to Bridgeville, DE to accommodate growth
• 2003 Trinity opens a Regional Service Center in Kansas City, MO with an affiliate
office in Denison, IA.
• 2007 Trinity becomes 2nd largest employer of Certified Transportation Brokers (CTB’s) in the US.
• 2007 Trinity moves Corporate headquarters to Seaford, DE to accommodate more growth
• 2008 Trinity joins EPA Smartway Transport Partnership and opens another Regional Service Center in Euless, TX.
• 2009 Trinity joins Responsible Care Partnership and celebrates 30th year in business
• 2011 Ranked #20 among top Freight Brokers in the Nation by Transport Topics Magazine
4. Our New Name
On January 1, 2012 Trinity Transport, Inc. changed their name to Trinity Logistics, Inc.
This change recognizes our position as a transportation solutions provider, not just a
broker of transportation services.
This allows us to partner with our customers and carriers in developing and implementing
solutions that solve their transportation problems.
