Curriculum
Curriculum is a set of plans and arrangements
covering education goals, contents, learning
materials, and learning methods intended as the
guidelines in implementing the teaching and
learning process to achieve the goals that have
been set. (Cahyono & Widiati: 2011)
Curriculum Development
Curriculum development describes the
process by which instructors create new
courses or revise existing courses using
critical self-reflection, student feedback,
and in some cases, peer evaluation
strategies. (http://www.queensu.ca)
There are four steps of curriculum
development : Planning, Content &
Methods, Implementation, and Evaluation
& Reporting.
STEP 1: PLANNING

 Form Curriculum Development Team
 Conduct Needs Assessment and
Analysis

  • 2. Curriculum Curriculum is a set of plans and arrangements covering education goals, contents, learning materials, and learning methods intended as the guidelines in implementing the teaching and learning process to achieve the goals that have been set. (Cahyono & Widiati: 2011)
  • 3. Curriculum Development Curriculum development describes the process by which instructors create new courses or revise existing courses using critical self-reflection, student feedback, and in some cases, peer evaluation strategies. (http://www.queensu.ca) There are four steps of curriculum development : Planning, Content & Methods, Implementation, and Evaluation & Reporting.
  • 4. STEP 1: PLANNING  Identify Issue/Problem/Need  Form Curriculum Development Team  Conduct Needs Assessment and Analysis
  • 5. STEP 2: CONTENT & METHODS  State Intended Outcomes  Select Content  Design Experiential Methods
  • 6. STEPS 3: IMPLEMENTATION  Produce Curriculum Product  Test and Revise Curriculum  Recruit and Train Facilitators  Implement Curriculum
  • 7. STEP 4: EVALUATION & REPORTING  Design Evaluation Strategies  Reporting and Securing Resources
