- Not only is the Internet an X factor, but the way that SaaS is delivered is also variable. Some SaaS are delivered via regional or global CDNs, while for some all your traffic has to go to and from a single data center from every location in the globe. And specifics of the delivery models change—SaaS company delivery networks evolve, and sometimes SaaS companies make delivery changes overnight in terms of how their CDNs work. For example, we’ve seen SaaS companies switch how their CDNs work from BGP anycast to DNS based global load balancing overnight, then back again just as rapidly not long after. So, the point is that you can’t count on SaaS delivery to be stable either.
