2. Introduction
The present work aims to show social problems of educational institutions and the role of
teachers its impact on the social changes and its effects of Education on Cultural Development.
The teacher has to take care of the psychological balance of their students, to help them in their
social integration, to develop in them intercultural values, teach them about maintaining
health, dangers of narcotics develop a positive attitude towards others. Education it preserves,
transmits and develops the culture of the society. It can be stated that education and culture are
mutually interdependent, complementary and supplementary in all their aspects and activities.
Thus, the relationship between education and culture are really important.
3. Impact of social changes and teacher’s role.
Social changes have a great impact on educational systems. Changes in society and rapid technological
development in recent decades have made the reform of the educational system necessary. The social role
of teachers, as well as their responsibilities and obligations, have been significantly modified. The scope of
work and responsibilities of teachers has expanded, but their status in society is much lower.
Increased responsibility and obligations create frustration and stress for teachers. Your
university education must adapt to new needs and obligations. Continuous training during their
work should function as training, so that they can face the new duties and responsibilities that
they face in modern times. Social changes require a different approach to education and
professionalization of the teaching staff.
4. The teachers should accept the new role because they have to adapt to modern times. The
teacher’s special role is to “encourage students to work and use critical thinking, as well as the
use of new ways of communication between the teachers and – learners” (Todorov 2010).
Modern technological developments forcing teachers to be in step with scientific and
technological achievements and their effective incorporation into the teaching and learning
process.
Teachers today are suffering various criticisms for failures in education, regardless of whether they are culprits for the mistakes or
not. The teacher's work is rarely recognized and appreciated, but for which they are immediately condemned, for all the behavioral
problems and poor school achievements of the students. In many societies, parents have an ingrained stereotype that the child is
successful because of personal quality, while their failures that are the fault of teacher (Esteve et al. 1995).
There are other roles that teachers take on depending on the needs of the students. With young students, the teacher can take on the
role of parent or friend when a young student is feeling bad or unhappy. While with adult learners, teacher roles involve motivating
students and maintaining discipline, as well as being a language resource. Although the responsibilities and obligations of teachers
increase, they receive very few resources to properly respond to the growing obligations. Pressure by the educational authorities on
teachers to improve their pedagogical approaches while investing almost no or minimum resources only causes dissatisfaction
frustration for teachers.
Three proposals offered are key moments in the development and professionalization of teachers.
• Ensuring good social and material conditions of work.
• Creating a supportive work environment.
• The possibility of lifelong learning and education.
5. Effects of Education on Cultural Development.
Education has an enormous scope as an instrument of social and cultural change.
Before understanding what the impact of education on culture is, it is vital to understand the meaning of culture. By culture we
mean the system of norms and standards that a society develops over the course of many generations and which profoundly
affects the conduct of people living in that society. Culture is stated to be the complete package of knowledge, beliefs, customs,
art, morals, law and any other capabilities and habits acquired by man as the member of that society.
The small family norm is widely accepted among the educated. The media especially the visual media has helped in educating
even the illiterate about the ill effects of having more children in one household, weakening the wrong cultural belief of having
a son for lighting the pyre and rendering meaningless most other cultural ills of the society such as child marriage and abortion
of the girl child.
Women in the past were not given much importance and were treated inferior to men especially in the rural areas within the
country; they were even deprived of their share of property. In the present society in rural and urban areas, education has
brought about cultural changes in the distribution of possessions and rewards to women. Women now have equal rights in the
parental property.
Education is the vital configuration of the social system, shaping the personality of younger generation and their culture raising
them for life and preparing them for the kind of society they live in and they should live in. In other words, through the means
of education, an individual learns how to abide by the cultural values.
6. • Methods of teachers: Culture methods of teaching are intimately connected. The previously
teaching was teacher centered where teacher used to give knowledge to the students. Now it has
become student centered. The teachers needs interests, aptitude inclinations behavior before
teaching. In this way, education is a method of preparing child for the future for effective living.
• Preservation of culture: Each country has its own different culture. Try to preserve your culture
and distinction in its original form. Education is the only means through which this task can be
accomplished. Education preserves the culture of a society.
• Cultural development: The function of education is to bring the necessary and desirable change
in culture and values for the continuous progress and development of society without that social
progress cannot take place. Education acculturates and individually modifies culture through
research and further investigations in all requirement areas.
The education and culture serve as two sides of the same coin, inseparable from
each other. The culture forms the norm of the society where the way of conduct
is determined by the education. Education assists in the spread of culture. The
globalization is bringing cultural change which is affecting the paradigm way of
education. Each culture requires a distinctive way of education for the transfer of
the values and norms. The cultural content of education is also transforming
educational structure.
7. Education must transmit culture to the new generation and transform the perspective of young people towards life in the light of
the past, in the context of intercultural influences and in the light of the future needs of the individual and society.
I think that the teachers, as those responsible for the training of students, they have the task of assuming the role of guidance, and
transmitting values promoting personal, professional and work self-realization with strategies and new communication
technologies. In this way, the old ways of "educating" can be overcome with long and tedious documents, boring theoretical
expositions, large books with obvious difficulties for students in comprehensive reading, in content synthesis and without critical
capacity.
Given this, new communication and knowledge methods and strategies use new technologies, their creative mind is stimulated,
critical thinking is stimulated, analysis is improved, the vocabularies are best used and trained to defend their scientific truth with
conviction and reason. Education and its impact on cultural development generates greater integration in society because it allows
us to understand the importance and role of each culture, learning to accept it as the identity of each person.
In conclusion, Education is key to the development of each country and today more than ever it needs committed, responsible,
creative, competent teachers, promoters of values; that with their vocation of service they are capable of improving the
educational quality in each of the students in order to obtain the quality professionals that society deserves in the future.
