CrossCulTour stands for „Crossmarketing-Strategies in Culture and Tourism“
CrossCulTour is a follow-up project of „Transromanica“ (2003 – 2006)
In 2007, TRANSROMANICA has officially been recognised as „European
Cultural Route“ by the Council of Europe

5. Objectives of the project
CrossCulTour
• Preservation and promotion of cultural sites and landscapes by means
of an appropriate cross-marketing approach to cultural tourism
• Making cultural destinations more competitive by establishing
cooperation with small and medium sized enterprises
• Opening access to markets and connecting disadvantaged regions with
cultural centres by using innovative communication technologies
• Increase in employment and income
• Creation of a stronger regional and European identity for 7.6 million
citizens from partner regions based on common cultural-historic roots

Free Summer School „Architecture and Symbolism – History and Marketing Strategies“
The second Summer School at the University of
Klagenfurt (Austria) takes place from 13th – 16th
of September 2011. It’s focus will be on
Architecture and Symbolism of the Middle Ages.
It will consist of expert lectures, excursions and
exchange of stakeholders.
