- What is the mobile medicine? First, let's see this video clip. This is a part of USA Television Drama series “Star Trek: The Next Generation”, In late 1980s. Some portable medical diagnostic device appears in the clip.
- And then, let's see one more video. Father in the video uses a mobile device to diagnose daughter's diseases. It’s not future. It’s now. So, What is the Mobile Medicine?
- Mobile Medicine is a system that diagnoses the disease using mobile communication devices, such as smart phones. And then, It can be defined in a word. Mobile Medicine is “Using phones to improve health”. It Includes everything which diagnose or help to diagnose any disease through health information from the mobile phones.
- So, Why mobile medicine? Nowadays, 97 percent of the world population owns and use a mobile phone.
- Most of people already have a phone. So that is able to easy access to a global database of medical information. And Can easily add diagnosis service for other disease. Just another device connects to the phone. and save money and time.
- Furthermore, mobile medicine has allowed patient’s data to be stored in own device. And can easily access to the diagnosis. So that, to prevent a serious situation by monitoring. Now lets see application of mobile medicine in the our real life.
