Founder Director
The driving force behind the Innovation, Research & Development of
The Basil Kitchen. After earning a degree from The Institute of Hotel
Management, Ahmadabad in 1995, played a key role in coordinating
projects for the set up of Facilities with the accountability for
strategic utilization & deployment of available resources to achieve
organizational objectives.
His background in 5 Star Hotels & Restaurants lead to a highly
successful career. His major achievements include mobilizing and
managing many high profile catering services
He is responsible for managing The Basil Kitchen business enterprise
while cultivating a team of talented and motivated leaders to execute
against key corporate strategies.

Ambika Arya’s activities include creating and overseeing the The Basil
Kitchen’s yearly business and marketing plans, As director of sales and
marketing she works to maximize revenue among market segments,
including Government, Corporate, and most importantly Social.
Her activities are varied and she especially likes helping satisfy clients
who have special or specific needs. "I like to give them options and
help them plan," she says. She says her greatest challenge is the
changing marketplace. "You can't plan for unforeseen disasters like
we've had in recent years," she says. "But you have to do your best to
keep up with what's going on. You need to understand business trends
and always be aware of what other Caterers are doing."
Ambika recommends those interested in this role have the basic sales
skills of prospecting and cold-calling. "You also have to have a real
desire to help people, as many can be quite demanding on your time."
Finally, Ambika emphasizes a sense of humor and flexibility as qualities
that have helped her succeed. "It's important that you don't say 'NO'.
You have to remain open-minded to find solutions."
