What is it?
• The savings that the customer makes due to work being carried
out go to pay back the loan. No noticeable cost to consumer.
• Attached to the Electricity Meter – not the individual
• Finance varies – may be up to 25 yr term
• Must have a Green Deal Advisor in to do a Green Deal Advisor

• Must have a Green Deal Installer in to do installation
• £125m Cashback for early adopters
• 9,000 Assessments done thus far (17th April 2013)
• Very attractive to private landlords!

• Energy Company Obligation
• Big 6 – BG, EON, EDF, Spower, Npower,SSE - £1.3bn /yr for 2 yrs.
• Offset Carbon – huge fines If they dont (10% of t/o!!!)
• Trying to stem problems with CERT & CESP – strict monthly payment
terms
• Good news! – guaranteed for 2 years
• GDM are ECO (sub) funders – Npower want to work with SMEs
• Assessments - Need Just EPC for Affordable Warmth
• Need full GDAR for CSCO & CERO
• GDM offer £s for leads.

1. Publicly Available Specification which may well become an ISO
2. Sets out requirements for the installation of Energy Efficient
Measures (EEMs).
3. Not just for GD although GD is constantly referred to.
4. All about protecting the Customer from rogue traders and
ensuring that the work will last long into the finance term.
