 In their article on the importance of Web 2.0
technologies in education, Williams and Chinn
emphasize:
 Today’s students are part of the “net generation”
and need Web 2.0 technologies (like Prezi) to
keep them engaged.
 The use of Web 2.0 technologies with students
increases active students engagement, therefore,
increasing student achievement.

 Other conclusions from Williams and Chinn’s
research include:
 Many students already posses Web 2.0
technologies skill sets and their ability to rely on
prior skills leads to active learning environments.
 Student evaluations showed that students felt the
