Hand selected by Battalion Commander out of more than 60 peers to lead one of two Platoons in the
Brigade’s only dismounted reconnaissance Troop
Deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Inherent Resolve in January of 2017
Responsible for 32 Paratroopers and $2,500,000 of equipment
Responsible for leading the Base’s Quick Response Force (QRF) – a detachment capable of reacting
to emergencies on base within 10 min 24/7
Created, implemented and enforced Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for QRF operations
Officer in Charge of the base Entry Control Point (ECP). Responsible for searching, scanning and
verifying all vehicles and personnel entering and exiting the base

o Created the design concept for installing ECP at the base airfield. Coordinated with base
engineers to resource cranes and forklift assets necessary to erect concrete perimeter.
