Effective leadership, according to Robert S. Liggett, is about maximizing potential through building capacity and commitment, relationships, managing change, and fostering innovation. The document then discusses how to develop key talents and strengths as a leader, provide value to a team, implement workshops, communicate skills, and competencies. It outlines the author's leadership experience, instructional tools, and educational philosophies which emphasize collaboration, mentoring, and supporting success to create globally conscious citizens.

Values are what drive and motivate us. We can make better choices when we’re clear about what really matters to us. Values underpin our authenticity and help shape our leadership style. Values Explorer is intended to help you “dig deep” and think about your values in a new way. You will be equipped with a powerful lens through which to evaluate various aspects of your life and the choices you make. And if you stay aware of these core values – and honor them – you can make even better decisions in the future.

A collaborative team of facilitators and visual practitioners formed to write a book to showcase the power of facilitation. Most of the team are members of the International Association of Facilitators, and many are IAF Certified Professional Facilitators.
The book is a compilation of chapters written by different authors, or author teams, designed to promote the power of facilitation. Each chapter connects key perspectives on specific dimensions of facilitation, organisational and community development with the respective authors’ practice and thinking about our craft.
The team has sought to model a facilitative approach to the project throughout.

This presentation is the crux of a famous book "Seven Habits of Highly Effective People" by Stephen R. Covey. The presentation was originally created by Paul L Gerhardt of South Seattle Community College.
A look at the underlying ethos of collaboration, and a series of strategies and approaches to encourage the development of collaborative human behaviours.
These slides and handout were presented for a workshop on "Mentoring Up: Learning to proactively engage in your mentoring relationships" at the American Society for Cell Biology (ASCB) conference in San Francisco, for the Minority Affairs Committee (MAC).
This is the inaugural webcast in the Commission for Student Involvement E-Series. This webcast is about the key conversations from the 2012 National Leadership Symposium.
This past year, the focus of the Symposium was on the rigorous design, engaging experiences, and demonstrated results necessary for quality leadership education in our contemporary society. Participants and presenters engaged in a shared reading which served as a collective thread across each session: A New Culture of Learning: Cultivating the Imagination for a World of Constant Change (Thomas & Brown, 2011). Focused on creating frameworks for quality education of students in today’s digital age, the book provided a springboard from which ideas were shared in translating the material to college leadership education.
Webinar participants will hear from the coordinators of this year’s Symposium: David Rosch, an Assistant Professor of Leadership Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, and Marilyn Bugenhagen, an Associate Professor of Leadership at Marian University, as they review some of the highlights and key concepts discussed this past summer.
