4. The quiz shall cover the
topics about earthquakes
and typhoons.
5. Questions may be in
identification, classification, or
fill in the blank. The contestants
should write their answers
legibly on 1/8 illustration
board. Misspelled answers are
considered incorrect.
6. QUESTIONS:
The contest shall have three rounds,
the Easy Round, Average Round,
and the Difficult Round. A total of 30
questions will be asked: ten (10)
questions for the Easy Round, ten
(10) Average Round, and twelve
(10) for the Difficult Round.
7. There are fifteen (15) questions
in the easy round having ten (1)
points each. It has a total of 15
points for all correct answers.
8. For the average round, there are
ten (10) questions. A correct
answer is equivalent to two (2)
points that will make a total of
20 points for all correct
answers.
9. For the difficult round, there are
also ten (10) questions having
three (3) points each. This will
produce a total of 30 points for
all correct answers.
10. The total number of points for all
rounds is 65. The group who
garners the most number of points
is declared as the CHAMPION.
The next two highest point-earners
will be the 2nd and 3rd placers,
respectively.
11. The questions will be read by
the Quizmaster twice. Each
group shall provide their own
illustration board, chalk, and
eraser.
12. The questions will be read by the
Quizmaster twice. The
representatives shall be allowed to
write their answer only after the
Quizmaster says “GO.” The time
limit is 10 sec. for the easy round,
20 sec. for the average round, and
30 sec. for the difficult round.
13. The time limit will automatically
begin upon announcement by
the Quizmaster that “TIME
STARTS NOW.” The timer will
sound off at the end of the
allotted time.
14. When the time is up, all
contestants must put down their
chalk and raise their illustration
board. The Quizmaster will then
announce the correct answer.
15. The teacher will check the written
answer of each representative. In
case of questionable answer, an
appeal may be directed to the
teachers who will then decide
whether the answer is acceptable
or not.
16. The appeal must be raised
before the next question is read
by the Quizmaster.
17. The score will be flashed on the
screen or on the board and will
also be officially recorded.
Points obtained shall be tallied
after each round.
18. The Quizmaster will announce
the standings after each round.
In case of a tie for the 1st, 2nd, or
3rd place. There will be no tie-
breaking questions.
