Higher Education he worked on several international collaboration initiatives with
Babson College, the Fuqua Business School at Duke University, the Duke Global Health
Institute, the Johnson School at Cornell University, among others.
 the O P Jindal Global University in the National Capital Region, Delhi, India, where,
initially, as Advisor, he helped set up the Jindal Global Business School and

Foundation an initiative of Padma Bhushan Shiv Nadar, Founder, HCL - a $5.9 billion leading global
technology and IT enterprise in India, which recently established the Shiv Nadar University(SNU).
Played a key leadership role in the project team that worked on the vision document for the
University,which envisioned SNU to be research driven on an interdisciplinary platform, and
conceived to pioneer transformational higher education initiatives in India.

The O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) is a multi-disciplinary fully residential global university
initially comprising four schools: law, business, government and international affairs. It is spread
over 54 acres and has been established with an initial investment of USD 65 million with the support
of Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. (JSPL), a leading player in Steel, Power, Mining, Oil & Gas and
Infrastructure with an annual turnover of over US $2.1 billion (Rs. 10,000 crore).
 I played a key leadership role in conceptualizing and implementing the design and development of
JGBS as a multi-disciplinary business school and had successfully brought in a highly diverse and
reputed International Board of Advisors from different geographies and domains including several at
the Dean level. I had also constituted the Corporate Advisory Board and developed several
international and national collaborative initiatives to help realize the vision of the school to be India’s
first global multi-disciplinary business school.

2006-2009:Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad
 Program Director, Centre for Leadership, Innovation & Change (CLIC), Indian School of Business
(ISB), Hyderabad.
 CLIC was a newly established Centre of Excellence at ISB and focuses on studying the confluence of
wisdom perspectives, scientific principles and management practices and their influence on
contemporary approaches for developing global Leadership, sparking Innovation and nurturing
Change.
 Successfully organised the First International Conference titled ‘Igniting the Genius Within’ on behalf
of CLIC between October 23-26, 2008 with over 200 participants and speakers from diverse
geographies. This has been the largest conference held at ISB thus far in terms of themes, tracks,
speaker and audience diversity.
 Helped design and market the Global OD Summit Conference (GODS 2009)held in August 2009 at ISB
followed by the International CLIC Conference in October 2009.
 Director Admissions & Financial Aid, Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad.
 ISB is the youngest business school to have ever been globally ranked 20th in 2008,15th in 2009 and
12th in 2010 by the Financial Times London and the first ever from India to be globally ranked. ISB’s
Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM) is the largest fully residential single campus fully
residential management education program in the world. I developed and have driven several
successful brand building and business development initiatives to enhance the class learning
experience by bringing in gender, geographical, sectoral, age, work experience and domain diversity,
apart from international talent acquisition. International marketing was my prime KRA;
international applicants increased by 75 % (21 over 12) in 2006-’07 over the previous year and by
another 85 %( 39 over 21) in 2007-’08.Women diversity moved up from 20% in 2006-’07 to 25% in
2007-’08.The GMAT average of the class also moved up from 707 for the class of 2008 to 714 for the
class of 2009.Had successfully met and exceeded the targets for applications and admits. Applications
grew by over 30% over the previous two years, the highest globally.
 My department had been the prime revenue generator for the school to the extent of nearly 70% of
total revenue. Had successfully implemented cost optimizing and productivity enhancing initiatives
that have helped to bring down the cost per applicant by 51% and the cost per admit by 40%.In terms

of Financial Aid which was my self-selected KRA, scholarship endowments have been increased by
117%, including the first ever foreign funded scholarships for Spanish students. Admissions &
Financial Aid had been rated the best department by the outgoing students during my tenure.
2005-‘06(Startup)
 Vertical Specialist (Education, Training & Insurance), ECHC Management Services Pvt. Ltd.,
Chennai. Led the above domain vertical in this entrepreneurial startup set up by a group of senior
business executives from the Murugappa Group, Wipro, etc, with SBU and LOB experience. My role
involved senior executives’ placement, learning, training and mentoring services, business process
coaching through sabbaticals, board advisory services, etc in my Vertical. Was the leading revenue
generator and brought in the first overseas assignment from China.
2004-‘05
 Founding Mentor, MetLife Executive Trainee (MET) Program, MetLife (India) Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore.
The role involved complete ownership and responsibility for campus recruitment, training and
development, performance and career progression of Business School MBAs on a countrywide
basis for the seven business zones of the MetLife India Insurance Company, the Indian operation of
MetLife International, the largest financial services company in the U.S. Successfully inducted 161
MBAs from 57 Business Schools across the country. Awarded Outstanding Contribution Award by
the Managing Director. Dual reporting to the Country Sales & Training Directors.
2003-'04(Startups: School of Graduate Studies,IIFPM)
 Group Head Business Development for the Jain Group of Institutions (now Jain University),
Bangalore.
Strategy Head for the Group’s initiatives in private universities, business schools, residential & day
boarding schools, ‘classrooms on wheels’, international collaborative ventures in twinning programs,
new product initiatives in general and professionally empowering education, business model
development and implementation for employment positive industry initiatives. Successfully helped
established the School of Graduate Studies, a pioneering facility for industry and employment
positive graduate studies in various academic fields in a record time of 6 months. Established the
Indian Institute of Financial Planning & Management(IIFPM)for offering internationally
recognized professional education programs in India like the Certified Financial Planner program
in India. Reported to the Chairman.
2001-‘03(Startup: Magnus,IBS Ranchi)
 General Manager ICFAI. The role involved helping create infrastructure at various locations across
the country for setting up state level private universities in accordance with the requirements of
individual State Governments. Successfully helped establish the ICFAI Business School(IBS)at
Ranchi under very challenging conditions in a record period of 6 weeks from date of go ahead.
General Manager of The Magnus Institute, an affiliate of ICFAI(now the Magnus Business
School).Magnus was initially set up to provide exclusively developed high quality state of the art
training programs for MBA aspirants aiming to take the Common Admission Test(CAT)of the Indian
Institutes of Management(IIMs)and subsequently for other national MBA Admission Tests like IBSAT
for the ICFAI Business Schools, FMS (Delhi), XAT for XLRI, MAT/ATMA.I helped transform the
project from drawing board to reality by creating a nation-wide network of 28 branches apart from
the Corporate Office at Hyderabad within a record period of 6 months. This involved identifying
such suitable business locations, equipping, manning and setting up communication and performance
monitoring systems. Reported to the Board.
2000-‘01(Startup)
 Chief Executive Officer, Time Business Machines, Hyderabad. The Company was the Authorized
Distributor in India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangladesh for Minolta-QMS Laser Print Systems and
Procom International CD Tower Storage Systems, and addressed these markets through nation-wide
networks of resellers and Branch Offices. Dual reporting to the Board of TBM and to Minolta,
Australia.

 Chief General Manager, Vice-President Marketing, Vice-President Business Development &
Human Resources with Shri Shakti LPG Ltd.
Joined as Chief General Manager and also worked as Vice-President Marketing,
Vice-President Business Development & Human Resources, responsible for Marketing,
Operations, Joint Ventures, Product Sourcing, Information Technology, Customer
Relationship Management, Human Resources Development. Led from the front to help
turn around the Company from a loss-making to a profitable one. Obtained No.1 rating for
the Company from MDRA under mandatory rating regulations in a record time of only 17
working days. Reported to the Chairman & Managing Director.
1995-‘97(Startup)
 General Manager, Phil Systems Limited, Goa, responsible for business operations of the Minolta
Office Automation Products Business Group for India. The Company was a start-up Strategic
Business Unit set up by Phil Corporation Ltd (earlier known as Photophone Industries India Ltd),
who manufacture, package, distribute and support Konica and Polaroid Cameras, Film Processing
Labs and Film Products in India. I helped build the organization from one office, three personnel
and no dealers to 16 field sales offices, 158 personnel and 30 dealers with an All-India reach. I was
specially recognized by Minolta for the quality of services offered to our customers. During my
tenure, Minolta moved up in market performance perception from a lowly no.7 to a high no.3 in the
Office Automation market. I was also Editorial Coordinator for Minolta in India. Dual reporting to
the Managing Directors of PSL in India and Minolta in Singapore.
1993-‘95
 Vice-President Operations, Zenith Computers Limited, with independent charge of their Goa
operations; successfully implemented additional capacity expansion at Goa and was given additional
charge of the Company’s operations at New Mumbai. Reported to the Chairman & Managing
Director.
1992-‘93
 Self employed as a Consultant with NRI and local ventures for their projects involving assembly and
distribution of computer peripherals within and outside India.
1985-‘92(Startup)
 HRD Manager and Commercial Group Head for OMC Computers Limited (a Tata Group
Company). The Company was a pioneer and industry leader in the Visual Simulation and Computer
Aided Design market segments of the Information Technology industry, with several prestigious
collaborations with world market leaders like Silicon Graphics. The Commercial Group activity was
envisaged based on an Organizational Audit I conducted as HRD Manager and I was given the
challenge of effectively leading this new Group, which I did very successfully. I effected
significant productivity enabling and cost saving initiatives in Materials, Shipping and Sourcing of
Hardware and Software, both from Indigenous and Foreign Sources during my tenure. Reported to
the Chairman & Managing Director.
1983-‘85
 Senior Consultant with ABC Consultants, Delhi in their Personnel Selection Division.
Independently and successfully handled several prestigious recruitment and headhunting
assignments for Companies like Modi Xerox, Shriram Fibres, Godfrey Phillips, DLF American
Universal, Khaitans, Ranbaxy, Daburs, Sunflag, etc. Positions recruited ranged from front-line field
positions to General Managers and Chief Executives. Reported to the Senior Director.
1977-‘83(Startup)
 Project and Administration Manager with the Narula Group, Delhi for their startup ventures in
Biomedical Systems, Equipment and Instruments. Responsibilities included co-ordination with
Foreign Principals,Distributors and the Medical Fraternity for Product Promotion programs apart
from Recruitment and Dealer Training Activities. Reported to the Managing Director.

Jindal Global University (JGU) is a multi-disciplinary fully residential global university initially comprising four schools: law, business, government and international affairs. It is spread over 54 acres and has been established with an initial investment of USD 65 million with the support of Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. The role involved helping create infrastructure at various locations across the country for setting up state level private universities in accordance with the requirements of individual State Governments. Successfully helped establish the ICFAI Business School(IBS)at Ranchi under very challenging conditions in a record period of 6 weeks from date of go ahead. General Manager of The Magnus Institute, an affiliate of ICFAI(now the Magnus Business School).Magnus was initially set up to provide exclusively developed high quality state of the art training programs for MBA aspirants aiming to take the Common Admission Test(CAT)of the Indian Institutes of Management(IIMs)and subsequently for other national MBA Admission Tests like IBSAT for the ICFAI Business Schools, FMS (Delhi), XAT for XLRI, MAT/ATMA.I helped transform the project from drawing board to reality by creating a nation-wide network of 28 branches apart from the Corporate Office at Hyderabad within a record period of 6 months. This involved identifying such suitable business locations, equipping, manning and setting up communication and performance monitoring systems. Joined as Chief General Manager and also worked as Vice-President Marketing, Vice-President Business Development & Human Resources, responsible for Marketing, Operations, Joint Ventures, Product Sourcing, Information Technology, Customer Relationship Management, Human Resources Development. Led from the front to help turn around the Company from a loss-making to a profitable one. Obtained No.1 rating for the Company from MDRA under mandatory rating regulations in a record time of only 17 working days. Reported to the Chairman & Managing Director. 1995-‘97(Startup)  General Manager, Phil Systems Limited, Goa, responsible for business operations of the Minolta Office Automation Products Business Group for India. The Company was a start-up Strategic Business Unit set up by Phil Corporation Ltd (earlier known as Photophone Industries India Ltd), who manufacture, package, distribute and support Konica and Polaroid Cameras, Film Processing Labs and Film Products in India. I helped build the organization from one office, three personnel and no dealers to 16 field sales offices, 158 personnel and 30 dealers with an All-India reach. I was specially recognized by Minolta for the quality of services offered to our customers. During my tenure, Minolta moved up in market performance perception from a lowly no.7 to a high no.3 in the Office Automation market. I was also Editorial Coordinator for Minolta in India. Dual reporting to the Managing Directors of PSL in India and Minolta in Singapore. 1993-‘95  Vice-President Operations, Zenith Computers Limited, with independent charge of their Goa operations; successfully implemented additional capacity expansion at Goa and was given additional charge of the Company’s operations at New Mumbai. Reported to the Chairman & Managing Director. 1992-‘93  Self employed as a Consultant with NRI and local ventures for their projects involving assembly and distribution of computer peripherals within and outside India. 1985-‘92(Startup)  HRD Manager and Commercial Group Head for OMC Computers Limited (a Tata Group Company). The Company was a pioneer and industry leader in the Visual Simulation and Computer Aided Design market segments of the Information Technology industry, with several prestigious collaborations with world market leaders like Silicon Graphics. The Commercial Group activity was envisaged based on an Organizational Audit I conducted as HRD Manager and I was given the challenge of effectively leading this new Group, which I did very successfully. I effected significant productivity enabling and cost saving initiatives in Materials, Shipping and Sourcing of Hardware and Software, both from Indigenous and Foreign Sources during my tenure. Reported to the Chairman & Managing Director. 1983-‘85  Senior Consultant with ABC Consultants, Delhi in their Personnel Selection Division. Independently and successfully handled several prestigious recruitment and headhunting assignments for Companies like Modi Xerox, Shriram Fibres, Godfrey Phillips, DLF American Universal, Khaitans, Ranbaxy, Daburs, Sunflag, etc. Positions recruited ranged from front-line field positions to General Managers and Chief Executives.
