• Loss – 25%
Symptoms:
• Seedling stage – 10-15 DAS
• Firstly – interveinal chlorosis & on the base of new
leaves in result formation of long white/yellow
streaks
3. • On lower leaves – small brown / bronze /tan color spots
• Later spots merged – drying of leaves & become tan color
• First on upper then on lower surface of leaves
• No Pl. growth
• Roots - brown
• Ear - less
• Grain less & light in weight
Cause agent – Deficiency of Zinc
• Zn catalyze the enzymatic activities & oxidation reduction

6. Disease Management
• Dressing of sprouted 1% zinc oxide
• Root dipping with 2% Zinc oxide for 1- 2 minutes
• Zinc sulphate 25 – 30 kg/ha as soil application
• 5 kg ZnSO4 + 2.5 kg slaked lime + 1000 litre water
Ist spray after – 10 DAS in nursery
IIend spray after – 20 DAS in nursery
IIIrd spray after – 15-30 DAP
