 I have leaded the department activities and assisting Senior Manager (HOD).
 Carries out the design of the allocated instrument modification related to Hydrocarbon production facilities and
associated offsite. Ensure the design is to recognized industrial standards and codes.
 Reviews drawings, specifications and other documents prepared by contractors / consultants.
 Prepare the Statement of Requirement for contract documents and carries out technical evaluation of contracted
out modifications including technical clarification to bidders through the Contracts Department.
 Carries out the direct ordering and reservation from stock of all materials for the modifications, ensures materials
comply with company standards and are correct specification for the duty. Performs technical evaluation of material
bids including technical clarification to bidders through Procurement Department.
 Prepares pre-engineering packages and bills of materials to help arranging funds availability for the concerned
modifications. Follows the progress of Enquiry Indent and Purchase Request till their order placement.
 Convenes and minutes the Definition of Requirements meeting and ensures that all disciplines are represented. Act
as its Secretary.
 Controls the engineering of modifications and liaises regularly with Production and HSE&I Departments to ensure
that the engineering design is acceptable to all users departments.
 Liaises regularly with civil, structural, mechanical and electrical engineers within department to cover the inter-
disciplinary requirements for the modifications.
 Responsible for collating discussing and resolving any comments or queries arising from the approval issues of the
modification package.

Major Projects Executed:
1. Propylene Oxide Plant
 Responsible for reviewing DCS Specifications, Follows up of DCS deliverables from execution center,
review and redlining of all documentation associated with the DCS.
 Installation of field instruments, control valves, self-regulating in Bullets for Hydrocarbon storage, Tank
farms, tank loading.
 Supervising and instructing the contractor during Commissioning.
 System Integration with DCS, like other package instruments through Modbus communication system.
 Close liaison with vendor (Yokogawa), contractors and operation team.
 Factory visits to DCS Vendor (Yokogawa) for both FAT/SAT and other commercial meetings throughout
the project cycle.

3. 2. Polyol plant (Hydrocarbon plant)
 Executed DCS (CENTUM CS3000) integration with running plant, backups, maintenance and
programming.
 Involved in preparation of existing Ladder logic from MODICON PLC & upgraded to Functional Block
(FBD) and Ladder logic (LD).
 Coordinates with Team leader in Site Acceptance Test in PLC (Schneider Electric).
 System Integration with DCS, system check with Simulation & testing of trip interlocks in co-ordination
with operations.
3. Power Plant (Utility unit)
 As an project instrument engineer for commissioning, operation and maintenance of Boiler, Turbine field
Instruments.
