• Currently the Founder- / Chief Executive Officer of Galileo-SPS, a startup IT services and Technology consultancy providing CTO/CIO services to
a number of [very] well known health- / insurance, pharmaceutical (supply) enterprises in South Africa. Coupled with his cross-border
(African) experience and his (high-level) international perspective, Piyush makes for a rare (human-capital) asset – often in demand for the
‘turn-around’ [correction] of independent project failures and / or the formulation of (new) IT strategies, tactics and philosophies.
• Amongst his long-list of (growing) accomplishments, Piyush is able to include the system design (architecture), development and successful
delivery of one of South Africa’s very 1

fully cloud-enabled Sales Mobilization software solutions (Pulse™), which system was – shortly after
client delivery, disposed of as part of a (bundled) Sale of Assets (‘SOA’) and which is estimated to have contributed to the (multiplication) of
the total transaction valuation, to the tune of (some) 200%+.
• Given his experience- / exposure to Boards and identifying the need for technology to fulfill corporate governance, Piyush was recently able
by collaboration, to secure an exclusive reseller (territory) agreement with Azeus Convene (Hong Kong) for a next-generation (cloud-based)
Board Automation (‘BA’) solution, which operating territories include South Africa and Africa. Discussions continue with Azeus Systems for
Australasian distribution rights (also), alongside new (proprietary) software security solutions directly from Israel (brand confidential due to
current NDA’s).
• Formerly Served as Chief Integration Officer (‘CIO’) at Liberty Health Holdings. Applying his (highly) specialized skill in both IT and Operations,
the focus was (inter alia) to find synergies between the Holding Companies Administration and IT businesses. With group interests expanding
North into the African continent, Piyush was (further) called on to intervene and resolve (save) a relationships with UAP (2

biggest Insurer)
in Kenya, which relationship had become strained due to communication failures, middleware deadlock and the (simple) effect of distance.
Not satisfied only with performing above expectation, Piyush progressed to pioneer the 1

Electronic Claims switching system within the
Kenyan Healthcare industry, by leveraging Strategic Partnerships with Metropolitan Hospital (East Nairobi) and UAP, and which multi-party
collaboration allowed Piyush to secure the ownership and IP of the only in-house developed Hospital (Management) System (AMS 2000) in
Kenya for Liberty Health Holdings (free of charge and valued at multi-million Rand level).
• During his term as a member of the Spectramed Executive, a near Billion Rand enterprise, Piyush was (primarily) responsible for service
delivery and operational stability. In addition to such strategic portfolio ownership, Piyush was charged with the additional responsibility as
Project Custodian for the organization’s change of primary administrator – a project involving due diligence, scope development, review,
acceptance and finally implementation oversight. This project, which concluded on 31 March 2009, was hailed as an ‘overwhelming success’
and (a) benchmark against which other market participants, would in future ‘model’ and ‘measure’ their project performance. It is, in-part as
a result of these (in-/direct) accomplishments with Spectramed, that Piyush was selected and granted opportunity of attending the
prestigious Graphical Art and Technical Foundation (GATF) in the United States (Pittsburg), where he vastly expanded his knowledge and
understanding of system-based, personalized / variable-data communication.
• He is extremely positive around opportunities in South Africa for innovative cloud-based technology(ies), excited to infiltrate the SA / African
market and to assist with the (principle / philosophical / necessary) journey of so many enterprises towards true ‘cloud’ (value) adoption –
achievable only through collaborative international relationships which permit the rapid localisation of best of breed technologies and
solutions.
• Happily Married to wife Purnima (16 yrs.) and the proud father of Akhil (14 yrs.), Piyush, can easily be labelled a ‘sound’ family man with a
clear passion for playing (amateur) guitar – a passion he shares with his son and to which the joy of playing together (well) exceeds all
expectations. Reluctantly, but diligently, Piyush is at the gym every day (schedule dependent) to maintain his health status- / lifestyle.

• Still a student of the performing arts (music), Piyush find time to attend Enso Music School where he continues his journey towards perfecting
the guitar. Also finds time, as the founder of a local guitar club, to meet weekly with band member (ages ranging from 14 yrs. – 60 yrs.) to
‘jazz’ and let-off some ‘steam’. Piyush is happiest when able to play music with like-minded individuals, or when able to solve the (perceived)
insolvable IT or Operations challenge.
• Considered in many circles to be a strong, no-nonsense - but (always) fair ICT practitioner and enterprise leader.
Social Responsibility
• From humble beginnings, having had to work for pocket money from the age of 13, a son of a tailor, Piyush values hard work and maintains a
strong work ethic, which has allowed for a strong sense of responsibility to community and giving back to society.
• Formerly trained in Handgun and combat shooting and tactics, Piyush considers himself a crime fighter at heart but not being able to pursue
the opportunity of a career, at the risk of support to the then Apartheid Regime in South Africa, he pursued a career in information
technology instead.
