Leader
Accountable for safe, effective manufacturing / maintenance operations and best
practices across multiple Andrex tissue manufacturing lines. Through the application
of LEAN methodology/transformation, direct leadership of asset team members and
partnering across the operation I have delivered the following key achievements:
• Implemented tier structure for UK cluster coupled with A3 and TIP activity to
support and sustain continuous improvement in people, safety, quality,
delivery and cost
• Accountable for production planning and budget control
• Designed and implemented a system to improve latex treatment achieving
92% removal from 40% also reducing fresh water consumption to 18m3
/tonne
breakthrough for Northfleet and built a strong relationship with Environmental
Agency
• £400k cost saving achieved in energy and chemical through waste water
treatment plant (WWTP) optimisation also reducing operational complexity.
• $3.5MM cost saving achieved through reducing fibre loss (raw material) 4.4%
to 0.05% breakthrough for tissue manufacturing facilities globally and
Northfleet Mill – best in class 2015.
• OEE increase on PM2 from start of year baseline (2014) 59% to most recent
full month performance of 78%, breakthrough for PM2 & Northfleet Mill
• $1MM cost saving (2013) achieved through waste and energy reduction on
PM 1 & PM2 with zero investment.
• Supported closure of line 14 and integration of team into tissue manufacturing,
Perini / packaging operations.
• Embedded McKinsey transformation model as a methodology to deliver step
change and continual improvement across the mill, aligned with 6P leadership.
