Dipstick 2200 Floor Profiler
Dipstick 2200 Auto-Read Floor Profiler is totally integrated data collection instrument that provides a fast and accurate
method of measuring floors for flatness and levelness using American Concrete Institute (ACI), Canadian Standards
Association (CSA), and America Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Standards.
Two straight lines are marked at apart from center panel locations on the floor surface. Point elevations are then measured
at regular 300mm intervals along each line. The elevation differences between all adjacent reading points are calculated,
and a straight line approximation to the surface profile along each measurement line is produced and evaluated for
consistency with visual observation (graph) of the floor surface.
F-Numbers are derived from a statistical analysis of the floor’s elevation measured at 300mm intervals. The elevation
differences over 600mm are used to determine FF (q1-q14), while the differences over 3 meter are used to determine FL (z1-
z6).

f l o o r f l a t n e s s & l e v e l n e s s u s i n g t h e F - N u m b e r i n g S y s t e m
1) Design casting panel size in accordance with racking layout,
location of construction joints to be under racks.
2) Obtain datum point, setup FFL, ensure screed thickness.
3) Level formwork (guard rail) setup (wooden formwork by
others).
4) Level checking prior to concreting.
5) Concrete placing by others (carry out slump test for each
batch of concrete prior to placing).
6) Leveling of concrete using vibrator beam (air screed).
7) Rechecking of level.
8) Enhance flatness using super-flat floor tools.
9) Dry shaking of hardener when concrete at initial setting.
