3. Jesus asked
those of us
who love Him to
also “love one
another.”1
1
John 13:34
While studying a Bible class.
People who pass
by our camp and observe
us can easily notice if we are
getting along and being nice to
each other, or if we’re arguing.
And later, if we have an opportunity
to tell them about Jesus,
they’ll remember
what they saw.
People need to see the
love of God put into action
in the lives of those who love
Jesus. We can do this by helping
each other and by living in harmony
with each other. It’s also important
to forgive each other when
something goes wrong.
But, Mommy,
it’s hard for me
to be nice to others
all the time.
4. I agree that it is
difficult at times. We all
have different personalities,
and it’s hard to always be
considerate and understanding
of each other. Sometimes
we feel something is unfair,
or we’re tired, or the other
person has maybe done
something that hurts
our feelings.
Jesus lived for
thirty-three years on
earth, and He knows from
experience that it’s not easy
for us to always be kind and
considerate of others. But
though it wasn’t easy, He was
always an example of God’s
love, and He is eager to
help us do the same.
Through prayer and
studying God’s Word, we
can gain strength from
Jesus to do as He did.
5. Look up the
key Bible verses
mentioned on
this page.
Jesus promised
that as we draw near to
Him, He will draw near to us.2
He can then fill us with more
of His loving understanding
for each other.
(2
James 4:8)
It’s important for
us to be kind to each
other and to forgive
each other like Jesus
has forgiven us.3
(3
Ephesians 4:32)
“Love one
another; as I
have loved you”
(John 13:34 AKJV).
We want to show
people what Jesus is
like, and let His light
shine through us.5
(5
Matthew 5:16)
I need to think
about how others
would feel and treat them
like I want to be treated.4

Matthew 7:12)
