2. IoT is enabling devices around us with internet
connectivity
IoT has three parts –Device, Sensor,
Connectivity
These devices are what we use everyday,
mechanical/electrical products, but upgraded
with latest processors, sensors and
WiFi/GSM/NFC etc.
The various sensors offer incredible amount of
data
IoT is making the devices smarter by using the
sensors and data collected, for a better utility
With the data, the devices can personalise
themselves to user’s requirements
Since devices are on a network, the user has
virtual control over all the devices
3. The devices can also be made completely
autonomous and coordinate with other kind
of devices on the network and
IoT increases device’s value by giving
extensive monitoring, control, opimization to
the user
The most important thing is creating Hybrid
Applications through IoT
Now, devices can cut across platforms,
industries and fields and provide a seamless
integration of services. That’s the essence of
IoT
With increasing advances in tech and
lowering cost, IoT is the future for smarter,
reliable and a better future.

smarter inventory management – IoT has
solutions for retail chains that would simplify their
operations
Domestic-Security systems, energy and resources
usage, smarter appliances
IoT offers a more personal and simplified
experience in domestic scenario
Healthcare-Patient monitoring, fitness devices
A better way to monitor one’s health, keep up
with doctor appointments and stay fit
5. Environment- Disaster detection systems, Wildlife
monitoring, Pollution monitoring and control
IoT can be used to integrate different services
pertaining to environment and tag it to a
location for better planning and sustainable
environment
Industrial-M2M applications, equipment control
and maintenance, environment quality
Industries can take major advantage with
Automation using IoTs and monitoring their plant
production, equipment health
Automobile- Phone/Tablet/Media integration,
travel and user personalisation

6. I’m interested in IoT application in Enterprise
and Manufacturing sectors. They offer huge
opportunities for IoT
If given an internship, I would work on
developing low cost reliable IoT devices for
manufacturing industries that would
automate, monitor performances and
integrate all the verticals and present overall
analysis of the plant
Another area I’m interested in working is the
Enterprise sector, where IoT can help in a
huge way in maintaining work-life balance,
keeping up the productivity and networking
employees and the enterprise’s activities
