Founded in 2014, Hangzhou Lingban Technology Co., Ltd. is an innovative technology

In 2018, Lingban technology raised a new round funding of 100M US dollars led by

Companies" by Hangzhou Venture Capital Association.
2. Background
COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread around the world at an alarming rate, taking lives
of the most vulnerable and wreaking havoc on global economy. As of March 25, 2020, a
cumulative total of 375,498 confirmed cases and 16,362 confirmed deaths were reported in
196 countries. Although much remains unknown about the novel strain of coronavirus,
SARS-CoV-2, spread is believed generally to occur from person to person via respiratory
droplets from close contact with a person infected with the virus. Fever, among many other
symptoms, is a key epidemiological feature of infections by this novel virus.
The breakneck rate of disease spread, coupled with the fact that there are currently no
COVID-19 vaccines and no recognized treatments, has caused response efforts to the
coronavirus to transition from containment to mitigation strategies to reduce the public’s risk
of contracting the virus, including mandatory self-quarantine in hotspot clusters, state-wide
lockdowns and encouraging shelter-in-place and working from home.
Although there are currently about 10 vaccine candidates under investigation to prevent
COVID-19, it will likely take at least 12 to 18 months before one is approved by the FDA
and ready for widespread use, according to news briefings by Anthony Fauci, MD, Director
of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in USA. In the meantime,
systematic testing and quarantining of carriers, with proven results in China which sets to
relax its mass quarantine in one-time hotspot Hubei province, holds answer to putting the
pandemic under control.
Efficient and safe screening has therefore, come to be at the forefront of battling against
COVID-19 pandemic. In response to the call for solution, Rokid rolled out its IR-AR Glasses
(T1). Integrated with far-infrared thermal imaging technology, T1 allows for non-contact
temperature monitoring and offers a helping hand to companies and government amidst
coronavirus pandemic.

3.1 Product Description
Rokid infrared thermometry AR glasses (T1) is a high-tech product specially developed for
epidemic prevention and anti-epidemic. It integrates infrared thermal imaging technology,
AI capability, AR technology, big data and other advanced technologies. T1 is the world's
first safe and efficient non-contact temperature monitoring equipment focused on mobile
patrols scenes in the public place with large flow of people, including but not limited to
hospitals, stations, airports, parks, scenic spots and other scenes, which greatly improves
prevention and control efficiency, prevents cross infection, and protects epidemic
prevention personnel and ordinary people. It is a high-tech intelligent terminal equipment
that can meet the practical needs of body temperature screening, epidemic prevention
and control, public security prevention and control, etc.

Non-Contact Use Cases for Enhanced Safety
Compared with the traditional hand-held thermometer, Rokid T1 glasses allows for
measuring from a distance at about 3.3 feet away. There is never a risk of cross infection
using T1 as it does not make any physical contact with the person.
Powerful AI for Greater Accuracy
In addition, T1’s embedded deviation-rectifying algorithm brings about greater accuracy. Its
detection rate of fever is 100% with a reading accuracy of 99.8%. At a 3.3 feet distance, the
deviation is within ± 0.5 ℃ for outdoor reading and within ± 0.3 ℃ for indoor reading.
Lightweight , Comfortable and Efficient
Weighing in at 180g, Rokid T1 is both well-balanced and comfortable to wear. Its ergonomic
design is cooling efficient as well, making it great for continuous wearing while taking
measurements of objects in motion.The temperature measurement speed is fast and
the application environment is wide, which greatly improves the individual combat
ability of epidemic prevention personnel.
Diverse Application Scenarios on An Open Platform
Rokid T1 can be configured with voice assistant, face recognition, object recognition,
license plate recognition, remote assistant, head movement control, visual suite, multi-
process sharing camera and microphone among other capabilities and development kits for
