Building Your Bank's Payments Strategy
Customers increasingly have options for making
payments, yet your bank's checking accounts and debit
cards are often the primary funding source for these
payments. Trent will look at ways you can preserve
relationships and revenue as customer habits change.
Payments and SAR – THE Compliance Challenge
Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) is the bedrock of Bank
Secrecy Act (BSA) compliance. With the new payment
streams and options that will increase the speed and
settlement of transactions and payments, the require-
ments to identify and report suspicious transactions will
not be eliminated and may actually become more
challenging for the financial community. This session will
review: the basic SAR reporting requirements; highlight
current SAR trends in the Payments stream; identify
potential “Red-Flags” in the Payments arena that “could”
require a SAR filing; and identify the current areas of
federal focus in SAR reporting.
Bank Merchant Services
KBA’s endorsed merchant services consulting provider,
Wimsett & Company, will discuss the evolution of the
merchant processing industry with emphasis on ways
your bank’s merchant services program can be structured.
Through this session you will learn how your bank can
structure a new and exciting program that allows you to meet
your bank goals and deliver tremendous value to your clients.
Trends in ATM and Debit Processing
ATM and Debit Card activity is changing. This session will
provide a look into how each of these payment channels
will change in coming years, and how you can prepare to
benefit from the changes. Special attention will be given to
EMV strategy.
Networking Reception (dinner on your own)
Emerging Trends in Payments
Each of the major phone vendors now has a wireless
payments solution. Other app based payment channels are
also in development. CSI will offer a survey of key payment
types, and how your bank can position itself to benefit.
New Revenue Opportunities - Business Credit
Cards
This session is designed to provide a broad overview of
current trends in payments, including industry “hot topics”
like EMV, data security, and interchange fees, and address
disrupters who create “payments noise” including Apple
Pay. The segment provides insight into the value of issuing
business branded debit cards, including enhanced revenue
and customer loyalty.
Same Day ACH and Other Current Issues in EFT
It is mandatory for all financial institutions to be ready to
receive Same Day ACH credit transactions beginning,
September 2016. Financial institutions will need to work
proactively internally, with software providers, customer
contact areas and clients to be ready for this change. This
session is designed to provide an overview of the changes
and discuss the impact to financial institutions that will
originate and/or receive these transactions.
The New Landscape of Payments Fraud
The next few years will bring unprecedented changes in
payment options. Customers will face a confusing array of
new products & services, and many of these will bring new
fraud challenges. Banks will need to develop innovative
strategies to satisfy customer demand while addressing
these new threats. This informative session provides an
overview of emerging payment fraud issues and provides
valuable guidance for setting an effective direction for
maintaining customer satisfaction and reducing risk.
