2. Leave Nothing Undone
Joshua 11:15 As the Lord had
commanded Moses his servant, so
Moses commanded Joshua, and so
Joshua did. He left nothing undone
of all that the Lord had commanded
Moses.
3. Leave Nothing Undone
Matthew 23:23 Woe to you, scribes and
Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay
tithe of mint and anise and cummin,
and have neglected the weightier
matters of the law: justice and mercy
and faith. These you ought to have
done, without leaving the others
undone.
4. Introduction
Joshua did not leave any command of God
undone.
Jesus said we must obey ALL the commands, not
just the big ones or just the small ones.
We must seek to obey ALL the requirements in
the New Testament.
5. 1 - Attendance
I come Sunday morning – Isn't that enough?
Hebrews 10:25 not forsaking the assembling of
ourselves together, as is the manner of some,
but exhorting one another, and so much the
more as you see the Day approaching.
When Christians assemble there is support,
encouragement, edification, learning, stronger
faith, deeper love for God – and many other
blessings that result.
6. 2 - Omissions
James 4:17 Therefore, to him who knows to do
good and does not do it, to him it is sin.
Sins of Commission = doing what is forbidden –
kill, steal, lie, fornication, covet, etc.
Sins of Omission = failing or refusing to do the
positive commands – pray, worship, love
neighbor, share
7. 3 - Communion
Many observe communion – 2 – 4 times a year
Christians partook each Sunday –
Acts 20:7a Now on the first day of the week,
when the disciples came together to break
bread
8. 3 - Communion
Do it in the right way –
1 Corinthians 11:27-29 27 Therefore whoever
eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in
an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body
and blood of the Lord. 28 But let a man
examine himself, and so let him eat of the
bread and drink of the cup. 29 For he who eats
and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and
drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the
Lord's body.
9. 4 - Give
2 Corinthians 9:6-7 6 But this I say: He who
sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he
who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7
So let each one give as he purposes in his
heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God
loves a cheerful giver.
Freely, willing, not at debt you owe
Giving is an expression of your gratitude
Don't leave giving undone!
10. 5 - Sing
Many defend vocal and oppose instrumental
music in worship
Song – Come, We That Love the Lord (verse 1)
Come, we that love the Lord,
and let our joys be known;
Join in a song with sweet accord,
and thus surround the throne.
11. 5 - Sing
Many defend vocal and oppose instrumental
music in worship
BUT – they do not sing
Song – Come, We That Love the Lord (verse2)
Let those refuse to sing
who never knew our God;
But children of the heavenly King
may speak their joys abroad.
Don't leave singing – undone!
12. 6 - Salvation
Faith in Jesus
Don't leave this
undone!
John 8:24 Therefore I
said to you that you
will die in your sins;
for if you do not
believe that I am He,
you will die in your
sins."
13. 6 - Salvation
Faith in Jesus
Repent
Don't leave this
undone!
Luke 13:3 I tell you, no;
but unless you repent
you will all likewise
perish.
Acts 17:30 Truly, these
times of ignorance
God overlooked, but
now commands all
men everywhere to
repent,
14. 6 - Salvation
Faith in Jesus
Repent
Confess Christ
Don't leave this
undone!
Romans 10:9-10 9 that if
you confess with your
mouth the Lord Jesus
and believe in your
heart that God has
raised Him from the
dead, you will be
saved. 10 For with the
heart one believes unto
righteousness, and with
the mouth confession is
made unto salvation.
15. 6 - Salvation
Faith in Jesus
Repent
Confess Christ
Be Baptized
Don't leave this
undone!
Mark 16:16 He who believes
and is baptized will be
saved; but he who does not
believe will be condemned.
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to
them, "Repent, and let
every one of you be
baptized in the name of
Jesus Christ for the
remission of sins; and you
shall receive the gift of the
Holy Spirit.
16. Leave Nothing Undone
Joshua did ALL that God commanded
Jesus commands us to do all the commands of
God, not just some.
Many think the Bible is a cafeteria - “pick and
choose” what you want
Have you done all that
God has commanded?
