It is a process which enables
individuals and group of people to
realize their health needs and match
them to necessary health behaviour
for the attainment of positive health.

people.
Motivation:- There is a fundamental
desire in every person to learn. In health
education, we inspire these desire and
motivate people to accept new ideas
(e.g., birth control measures, genetic
incompatibly problems, importance of
blood donation)
9. Communication:- In this, we
convey the concepts and aims of
health education in most simple
and familiar terms.
Reinforcement: It is the
strengthening of learning
process, by repeatedly educating
the same target group.
10. Learning by doing:- One can learn
better by doing what they try to
learn.
Good human relations:- The
health educator must be pleasant,
kind and sympathetic to others so
that people can accept him as
their real friend.
11. Individual methods:- These include
planned interviews or spontaneous
and counseling in health centers,
hospitals, schools, homes and in the
community.
Group methods:- It include
demonstration, socio-drama playing,
panel discussion, case study,
brainstorming( problem solving by
their own ideas) , buzz sessions
(telephoning) workshops, study trips.
